New to Grow
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my work is rooted in the belief that healing happens through connection, compassion, safety and the courage to grow. In my practice, I walk alongside individuals as they navigate life challenges, find healing and empowerment, increase self-awareness, and learn to love and care for themselves in ways they haven't experienced before. Therapy is a space where individual can process and heal from past experiences, strengthen self-confidence and emotion regulation through coping skills, better appreciate and accept self, and build a satisfying and fulfilling life. I am licensed in Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Sessions are genuine, client-centered, and focused on your individualized treatment goals. Our sessions will be engaging, ensuring that clients know what the focus is during each session and know what they are focusing on in their daily lives between sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am certified in DBT and trained in EMDR, allowing my practice to focus on these specific modalities. I follow evidence-based practices and am goal oriented. This allows us to be intentional in our sessions and make measurable progress towards goals each session.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My primary modalities are Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Therapy sessions and goals are individualized for each individual.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is therapy that allows people to heal from traumatic/distressing experiences. In my practice, I use EMDR virtually and in-person, allowing people to heal from emotional and physical distress and reduce symptoms.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy is a modality that focuses on emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. In my practice, I provide structured DBT as needed or integrate DBT skills with other modalities to best meet patient needs.
