LCSW-C, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
Hi, I'm Laura Jennings, LCSW-C. I work with clients from teenagers through adulthood, helping those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, family challenges, stress and other complex concerns. During therapy sessions, I take a flexible, supportive approach. It is deeply rewarding to see clients release the burdens of the past and step confidently into a more hopeful future. My goal is to empower you to move forward into a life marked not by fear, but by healing, strength, and possibility.
In our first session, we'll get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I'll ask you some questions to understand your goals, background, and what's been going on lately. Together, we'll start creating a plan that feels comfortable and what matters most to you.
I have experience supporting clients from teenagers through adulthood in a variety of settings including mental health, substance use and primary care. I blend different therapy styles to fit your needs, focus on practical tools, and create a supportive environment where clients gain insight, overcome challenges and make meaningful lasting change.
Whether you're ready to dig deep or just starting out, I'll meet you where you are and support you through anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, family issues and other life's challenges.
In session, I use CBT to help you identify notice unhelpful thoughts, see things in a new light and build tools to handle life's challenges.
I take an eclectic approach, meaning I pull from different therapy styles to fit your unique needs-whether that's CBT, motivational interviewing or other tools that work best for you.
I use motivational interviewing to help you explore your own goals and strengths, find your motivation for change and move forward at your own pace.
I use a person-centered approach by creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported as you find your own path toward growth and healing.
In session, I use a psychodynamic approach to help you explore how past experiences and deeper emotions shape your current thoughts, relationships and behaviors, so you can understand yourself and make lasting change.
