Hi There! I'm Krystyna. She/Her (LGBTQ+ Safe Space) Are you feeling overwhelmed? Are you struggling to keep up with important relationships in your life or find it difficult to connect with others? Are you finding it difficult to have positive feelings when it comes to work, school, or health? Is it hard to be nice to yourself? I help individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, and high functioning ADHD manage their anxiety, increase feelings of well-being, and avoid feeling out of control. We'll use a whole self-approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I also integrate CBT, exposure therapy, and mindfulness to help you develop a stronger more positive relationship with yourself. Whether you're dealing with relationship issues, family dynamic issues, PTSD, ADHD, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome whatever might be holding you back. Let's work together! More about me: I have over 10 years of experience in clinical practice, and I specialize in trauma therapy, motivational interviewing, addiction, and mood disorders. I am very open minded, non-judgmental, and believe my clients are strong, powerful beings who need help getting unstuck and moving forward with their lives. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida with a major in psychology, then completed my Master's degree at Carlos Albizu University with a major in mental health counseling. I am here to help you reach your goals and live your best life!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During the first session we will chat and get to know each other. We will talk about expectations of therapy and if there any questions you may have. My main goal is to get to know you and help you feel comfortable in this virtual space!
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have the most experience working with individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction or any combination of the three. Working on maladaptive thinking habits and unlearning non-effective ways of coping are among some of my specialties.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Individual therapy. Ages: 24-70, LGBTQ+, Multicultural, open to all religions and spiritual practices
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Talk therapy is very beneficial to reframe and renarrative certain thoughts that may be keeping you stuck.
EMDR
Techniques from EMDR can be done virtually and help with traumatic memories and negative consequences coming from those traumatic memories.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
You are the expert of your life, and I want to help you realize what you probably already know!

She’s understanding in what I go through but is also challenging in my approach to see things differently. Also flexible in changing my appointments because of a need I may not have foreseen. She’s a great listener and reminds me of what I may have done in the past to help me. Also grateful for her consistency in our sessions-for all these years! Thanks Krystyna!

Today’s session was really eye-opening and it was also great to see how my progress has been and understanding that progress is not linear

Krystyna is great at listening and being tender about confronting me on things that I may not see myself. She also challenges me in growing and learning new ways of dealing with the issues that I may not have tried in the past.
