LMFT, 4 years of experience
I offer individual therapy grounded in an attachment-oriented framework, tailored to support a wide range of mental health concerns and personal challenges. I specialize in supporting individuals and families navigating complex emotional and relational challenges. Much of my work has focused on people living with chronic medical conditions, including those impacted by HIV/AIDS, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community. I also bring an attachment-based lens to therapy, helping clients explore how past relationships shape their current experiences. I am currently gaining training in Sex Therapy to become a certified sex therapist. In our work together, we’ll explore how the past informs the present, while also focusing on building new, more secure patterns of connection, regulation, and self-understanding.
It is important that you feel comfortable with me and that you believe I am the right fit for you. In our first session together, we will start with an introduction. We will get to know each other to ensure that we are a good fit.
Having focused on an attachment framework, my greatest strength is focusing on the therapeutic relationship. I will aim to have our relationship be the safest and most secure relationship you have experienced. This will assist you in replicating that in other relationships. A second strength is that I am a direct therapist. While I am gentle, I do not hesitate to say what needs to be said.
I’m especially passionate about working with individuals navigating major life transitions, times when questions about identity, purpose, and belonging often surface. I also work closely with those who have experienced childhood trauma or family ruptures, particularly where attachment wounds continue to shape present-day emotions and relationships. I view these early experiences not as fixed narratives, but as opportunities for healing, growth, and transformation. Additionally, those who are experiencing difficulties in their sexual life and sexual relationships.
I believe the most powerful tool in therapy is the relationship itself. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported, a space where we can build a secure therapeutic connection that becomes a model for healthier, more secure relationships in other areas of your life.

Have really enjoyed my sessions with Dr. Teran. I was looking for a therapist to address my C-PTSD and family trauma. Dr. Teran has been extremely helpful at recognizing some of my patterns and how they relate to my family dynamics. They're very aunthentic and supportive, while also challenging me to look at some of the narratives I've told myself from a different perspective. They're easy to talk to, and I appreciate the direct communication they provide. I highly recommend them!
