About me

I am a board-certified psychiatrist who is passionate about providing patient-centered mental health care. I specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions. I earned my medical degree from LSU in Shreveport and completed my psychiatry residency at LSU in New Orleans. I strongly believe in fostering a collaborative approach to care, partnering with patients to create tailored treatment plans that honor you unique needs and goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I always start with an introductory 60 minute appointment, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve. Then, our follow-up visits will be about 20 minutes, usually once a month. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable. From there, we’ll work together in the appointments that follow to make these goals a reality for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to care. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey.I’ll be there to listen to you, challenge you, and support you along the way

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m a psychiatrist trained both in understanding the mind and the body and I’m especially positioned to support individuals seeking clarity when mental and physical factors intertwine in their wellbeing. Whether you're feeling stuck in ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood swings, obsessive‑compulsive patterns, or other complex emotional experiences, I aim to help you make sense of what’s going on through a biopsychosocial lens, translating clinical understanding into meaningful self‑awareness. I partner with you to demystify your symptoms, so that knowledge becomes a source of empowerment rather than confusion. If you're hoping to feel more grounded, informed, and confident in navigating treatment options including medication, therapy, or combined approaches my goal is to guide you in becoming an active participant in your healing journey. Together, we’ll build insight, strengthen coping strategies, and nurture trust combining medical expertise with compassionate collaboration to help you feel both seen and well‑supported.

My treatment methods

Psychoeducation

During the appointment, I weave psychoeducation into conversation as a collaborative exploration, offering clear, relevant insights about a patient's experience like symptoms, patterns, or treatment options and grounding them in gentle understanding. I share explanations using everyday language and familiar metaphors, then pause to check in and invite the patient to reflect on how it aligns with their own experience. If a concept feels unclear or overwhelming, I adjust the pace or approach, sometimes using stories or visual analogies to make the insight resonate. By doing so, patients gain clarity and a sense of ownership over their path forward, turning knowledge into motivation rather than just information. This approach strengthens trust and keeps learning alive, inviting them to become informed partners in their healing journey.
