"If you problem is like a mountain, I can't carry you up it. But I can walk with you every step of the journey." Hi, I’m Dan. I’m a licensed psychotherapist with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I have also worked as a school counselor and as a behavior therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I focus on issues such as anxiety, depression, men's mental health issues, behavioral issues, stress, coping skills, life transitions, mood disorders, relationship issues, school issues, self esteem, self-harm, spirituality, trauma and thought disorders. I believe in making therapy as easy as possible and creating a therapeutic environment in which my clients feel comfortable; sessions with my clients are always a safe space. I believe in meeting clients where they are at; your goals for therapy are my goals. Whether you're dealing with severe trauma, anxiety, depression or whatever life throws at you, I am here to help.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session we will review presenting problem and challenges you have been facing. We will collaborate together on treatment goals that you feel are relevant and appropriate to what challenges you may be experiencing. I also like to leave some time to discuss any further questions you may have for me or my experience as a therapist. I feel like this helps build rapport and make the environment feels safe and inclusive.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel my biggest strengths are my ability to build rapport, empathize with clients, and create a warm and welcoming space. I understand how difficult it can be to go to therapy so I wish for the client to be as comfortable as possible. I believe that these strengths combined with my therapeutic skills are conducive for creating a positive therapeutic experience for myself and for clients.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, ASD, and trauma.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I heavily draw from Person-Centered (Rogerian) Theory for treatment. I believe in inherent capacity for growth and self-determination that leads to self-actualization. I believe in acting as a facilitator for growth and fostering a supportive, empathetic environment for individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I very often use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility—the ability to stay present, open up to experiences, and take action guided by personal values. Instead of trying to eliminate difficult thoughts or feelings, I help clients to change their relationship with these experiences.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice to assist clients identify and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior that contribute to emotional distress. I emphasize practical tools and problem-solving to help clients break cycles of negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors—aiming for symptom relief and long-term coping skills.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients balance acceptance and change—teaching them to manage emotions, tolerate distress, and build healthier relationships while validating their experiences.

Daniel is thoughtful, professional, and genuinely invested in his clients’ growth. In our first session, he made me feel respected, understood, and like an equal partner in the process. He took the time to listen, set clear goals, and even expressed interest in expanding his skills to better support my needs. After several discouraging experiences with other providers it’s refreshing to work with someone who is both knowledgeable and truly caring. I’m looking forward to working with him further.
