Hello, I'm Ebony! Congrats on taking the big step to do something different! The most important and fulfilling peace is the one we have within and I want to help you achieve that peace. I find great joy in helping others achieve their highest fulfillment and look forward to helping you live a happier life. I like to offer a patient-centered approach to therapy and will support you in the ways you see most effective. We will work together to meet the goals that are most important to you. I have a strong background working with varying mental health concerns. I began my career providing both individual and group therapy to children with severe Oppositional Defiance Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder. Recently, I have found a passion in providing Exposure Response Prevention Treatment for Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder as a speciality. I am also knowledgeable in helping clients manage life changes, environmental stress, family conflict, self esteem building, and improving self care. The biggest step to change is always the first one. I look forward to working with you!
I am not like the therapist you see on tv and movies with a clipboard on a couch. I aim to make our sessions feel down to earth and my clients as comfortable as possible. My hope is to have relatable communication between each other where you can feel supported, heard and validated. In our sessions, you will gain skills to help support your unique therapy goals. In moments of uncertainty, you will leave the sessions with more clarity and insight on how to move forward. My intention is to have you build autonomy on how to manage your mental health struggles and lead you to a happier life. No problem is too big or small to discuss and for me to assist you with processing your thoughts and emotions.
As your therapist, I work to build rapport with you and truly understand who you are as a person. During our sessions, I will offer a non-judgemental and neutral place to express yourself. I am able to offer empathy, compassion and constructive feedback to you on the subjects we discuss leaving you in a place of feeling heard and validated.
