In our first session we will start with brief introductions, go over guidelines for my practice, and I will answer questions. We will focus most of the session on exploring the reasons you are seeking help and set goals that we will work on for the next 6 months - 1 year. I am curious what has not been working for you and how you would like things to change.
Connecting with clients and exploring ways to help them reach their goals, decrease the emotional discomfort, and focus on decreased anxiety and depression, while improving goal setting and accomplishments and improved healthy relationships and personal growth. We will work on new skills and perspectives to relieve the stress and emotional dysfunction you are experiencing.
I use a variety of modalities in my treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Trauma informed CBT, Rapid resolution Therapy (RRT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Solution focused therapy focuses on setting goals and completing interventions to work towards achieving the client's goal. I look forward to meeting you and working on improving the areas of your life that are not working for you.
