Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Connecticut. I received my Masters from the University of Connecticut and have been practicing for 11 years. I've been licensed for 9 years. The majority of my career was in an outpatient setting treating a large variety of teens and adults. I value building a good relationship with my clients in order to facilitate trust and change in their lives.
In our first session together, I'll start with a brief introduction, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. I find it helpful to gather data through obtaining measuring screens (which I usually request every 60 days). At the end, we'll create a tailored treatment plan to work through in follow-up sessions.
I value obtaining data through measuring tools to help support and inform treatment. I value creating treatment goals that help inform both the provider and client on whether therapy is accomplishing desire outcomes.

As a person of faith, I enjoy integrating spiritual principals to support clients in navigating their mental health and spiritual journey. (Only applicable for appropriate clients)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the cornerstone of talk therapy. This evidence-based practice has been successful in treating mental, behavioral, emotional, & relational concerns. In my practice, I value building your understanding of your own thoughts, feelings, & behaviors to make sense of major themes in your life. Through this process, you're able to identify and challenge unhelpful beliefs about yourself and others. I'll work with you to tailor coping strategies to your needs and experiences.
Trauma informed care seeks to recognize the impact of trauma in your life. Trauma symptoms can unfold in many ways and areas in our lives. I have experiences working with those with PTSD and other trauma-related disorders.
Strength-based approach focuses on building your abilities, self-determination, and strengths-- often times allowing you to see your value and yourself at your best. The switch from focusing on your problems to your strengths (in any given situation or relationship) can offer you a sense of control and a new mindset.
