About me

Hello! I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I got my undergraduate degree at Carson-Newman University in Psychology and my Masters Degree from Capella University. I have been practicing for over 10 years. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults through the lifespan. I enjoy being able to walk alongside people so they can become the best version of themselves, learn how to heal previous trauma, and develop healthy coping skills.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session we will start with a brief introduction and what brings you to therapy. I like to get a general idea of what you are dealing with as well as getting to know you as an individual so that treatment can be tailored to your specific needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel like my greatest strength as a provider is in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that fosters communication and a sense of belonging and safety. It is my desire to create an environment where the individual feels heard and deeply understood. At 50 years old, I have some really deep and meaningful life experiences under my belt. These real life experiences combined with sound therapeutic interventions have made for a rich set of tools to bring to the table to share with others.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with individuals from adolescents to adults. Because my training is over the lifespan and various aspects that occur throughout the lifespan, I feel comfortable working with a vareity of populations as well as a variety of issues.

Jessica was very kind and listened closely to my story. She didn't project my responses to my trauma but asked leading questions to determine how I was coping. She was mature and thoughtful and thought provoking, encouraging and patient. I will connect with her when I am able. Our logistics are off.

Jessica listens with understanding. Her ability to truly relate to my experiences and “get it right” has made each session invaluable. She doesn’t simply offer advice—she provides practical, constructive actions that have guided me along my healing journey. Jessica doesn’t heal me herself; instead, she holds my hand and walks beside me as I move toward victory. I am truly grateful and praise God for selecting Jessica to be my wise counselor.
