Hello! Are you feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, grief, adjustment concerns, or relationship challenges? I'm here to help. My approach is collaborative and supportive. I'm focused on helping you build and practice new skills, deepen your understanding of yourself, and regain confidence as you navigate life's challenges. Together, we can work toward a meaningful change and well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First sessions can make you feel nervous as you don't know what to expect but also don't want to be judged. That is normal and okay! My goal is to offer a safe, compassionate space where you can feel heard and supported. I also focus on building rapport with my clients as this is the most important foundation in therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Working for a non-profit agency since 2012-2020 in providing services to adults, children, and families involved with DCFS (Department of Children and family Services) allowed me to quickly build my foundation on a trauma focused perspective. I can confidently say that I feel comfortable in working with various traumas that include domestic violence, sexual abuse, grief/loss, anxiety, and depression. In working with these various traumas, I feel comfortable in using a CBT approach along with pulling from other approaches (Motivational, DBT, solution-focused, compassion focused) to help better meet each individual need.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have experience in working with clients with issues surrounding areas with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I commonly use CBT to help support issues with anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. CBT has been effective in identifying a persons learned patterns of unhelpful behavior along with tools to better cope with symptoms. Exercises in session and "homework" are effective in helping clients develop those coping skills on their own.
