Hi! I am Maria. Are you feeling overwhelmed, confused, alone, or that no one can possibly understand what you are going through? Do you struggle with relationships, in particular the consequences of those relationships? Are you feeling stressed by a pregnancy, communicating with your significant other, decisions around birth control and parenting, and all that's in between? I work one-on-one with women to discuss life stressors that are causing stress, anger, increased sadness, and feelings of isolation. Using a holistic and strengths-based approach, we will work together to identify what area is causing you the biggest issues, address your soul & body connection, and take a personalized approach for your healing and well-being. Using strategies from various approaches (mindfulness, positivity, art/journal/creative therapy, talk therapy, and spirituality-based methods, to name a few). I provide a nonjudgmental space for you to get your thoughts out and ease some of the mental/emotional/spiritual burden you may be carrying around. Starting this journey is never easy, but taking that first step will empower you to access the support within your reach, and in this way take action in promoting your happiness and wellbeing. In our first session we will do brief introductions, I will tell you about my experience and approach to therapy. We will delve into questions related to your history, well-being, present concerns and issues, and the goal for future sessions. The first session is to lay the groundwork for our rapport and to establish an understanding of your most significant present challenges and needs moving forward.
