Who am I a compassionate person, empathetic and ready to partner with individuals who need help to improve their quality of life. I began this career journey more than 20 years ago with a natural instinct to learn, grown and make a difference in individuals' life. I thrive on using person centered approaches to empower individuals' growth while using evidenced based techniques for healing.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I have witnessed individuals accomplish a peace of mind knowing that change is on the horizon with education, safe environment and real identifiable room to grow. Come with your goals and objective ideas to our first session and watch the change process ignite. Yes, homework is a requirement but will never be overwhelming or unrealistic to complete. You will actually enjoy the progress when the homework task are completed and you can see the fruits of your labor.

My experience with partnering with individuals to help them achieve their goals is unmatched. I have the ability to connect with individuals and make the moves needed to net the desired outcomes and growth pathways to show progress. I have spent my career being a lifelong learner so that I can provide the most up to date techniques for optimal gain.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I believe counseling works, encouragement in a safe space will invoke change and growth. My philosophy is to treat each person with respect, kindness, compassion to guide individuals to reach for a fuller potential on this life journey. I hope to help individuals understand their areas of concerns that need to be addressed and move them into a healthier outcome. I am also committed to forging a culture that is aware of the need to practice mental health as a need to live a well-balanced lifestyle.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have worked in the Behavioral Health field for over 25 years. I used CBT, MI and PE as the basis of treatment. However, I have trained and utilized several evidenced based practices such as DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy w/ Trauma Focus and Grief Therapy to name a couple.
Motivational Interviewing
MI is another treatment modality that is commonly used especially when treating major depression and anxiety disorders. I generally start with this concept to help individuals identify their goals and activity plan to move from the current situation to quality-of-life identifiable gains.
