I am TaTanisha Shumpert, LPC. Punch Wellness Boutique provides individual, family and couples therapy. I specialize in working with those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-doubt, suicidal ideation and low self-esteem. I am passionate about helping clients realize their strengths and resiliency as they remove self-doubt, and worries of what others may think of them. I help clients facilitate a change within themselves that will unleash the power of their gifts and ultimately allow them to walk fearlessly in their purpose.
The primary goal of individual therapy is to increase understanding of one's thoughts and behavior patterns to help increase function and well-being. In therapy, people can learn how to effectively manage stress, interpersonal difficulties, and troubling situations. Typical sessions are weekly or bi-weekly. Christian based therapy is available if desired. Our first session is formally called an Intake and it is a time where we get to know each other.
A little about me: Punch is my childhood nick name. I used to be annoyed anytime a family member would greet me in the store or yell it in the church parking lot. As I matured I grew to love the name and see it as it was intended, a term of endearment. I changed my perception. Punch Wellness Boutique specializes in helping women see themselves for who they are and challenge negative self perceptions and negative perceptions about seeking therapy. Licensed in Georgia and Florida. I live by the belief that “I am worth it.” I deserve everything that life has to offer and I want to engrain that into the women that I work with. Growing up others were confused by my strong sense of self-confidence and self-love. These characteristics were nurtured within me by my grandmother. These beliefs and qualities have led me to walk in my purpose to reach other women who desire to show up fearlessly in their purpose to serve others. Just like my grandmother, I hope to continue to nurture women to release the power within themselves that has been held back by negative self-talk, low self-esteem, self-doubt, and worry.
I help clients who want to serve their purpose but struggle with depression and self-doubt. I empower them to rise to the occasion by replacing the negative self-talk with truth, and to walk boldly and fearlessly in their power. I work with clients in many different ways. I provide one-to-one therapy, space makeovers, styling sessions, or an assessment to help you manage your anger. I also provide corporate wellness.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy addresses the thoughts we think, movies we play in our mind that are usually not accurate and lead to unhealthy behaviors and actions. Addressing the dysfunctional thoughts can lead to a fuller healthier more balanced lfe.
This is a short term evidenced based approach, used in time limited situations such as EAP programs. We focus on identifying the problems and building solutions.
