I’m a trauma-informed therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, trauma histories, personality disorders, and the hidden weight of living in survival mode for too long. I bring a steady, grounded style—direct when needed, supportive always—and use CBT, DBT, MI, and evidence-based trauma work to help clients understand their patterns and regain control of their lives. I also have extensive experience with justice-involved individuals, helping people rebuild identity, stability, and self-trust after systems involvement. My work centers on safety, clarity, and real-world change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, the focus is on creating a safe, steady space where you can talk openly without judgment or pressure. We move at your pace—nothing is rushed, nothing is forced, and you never have to share more than you’re ready for. I explain confidentiality clearly so you know exactly how your information is protected and where the boundaries are. From there, we explore what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been carrying, and what you’d like to see change. We’ll map out initial goals together and begin identifying the patterns or stressors that are impacting your life. You’ll leave with a sense of clarity, a direction that feels manageable, and the reassurance that you have a therapist who respects your pace, your autonomy, and your story.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths lie in being able to hold complex cases with steadiness and clarity—especially clients with trauma histories, personality disorders, or justice-system involvement. I’m skilled at seeing the patterns beneath the chaos, naming what’s happening without judgment, and helping clients understand themselves in a way that feels grounding rather than pathologizing. I blend structure with compassion, directness with warmth, and evidence-based strategies with real-world practicality. Clients often tell me they feel understood on a level they haven’t experienced before—and that therapy finally makes sense.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who’ve lived through hard things—trauma, chaotic relationships, unstable environments, or the justice system—and want a therapist who actually understands the complexity of all that. Many of my clients have features of or live with diagnosed personality disorders, struggle with emotional intensity, or carry long-standing patterns that feel hard to break. They want structure, honesty, skills, and a therapist who doesn’t flinch at their story. If you’re ready to feel safer in your own mind and build a life that isn’t run by old wounds, we’ll work well together.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients break out of anxious, overwhelming, or self-critical thought patterns. Together, we map the cycle between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and build tools that increase control, confidence, and flexibility. In sessions, we identify unhelpful patterns and replace them with skills that actually move life forward.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help clients build skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and staying grounded during stress. Sessions focus on mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier communication. I tailor DBT tools to real-life situations so clients can use them immediately outside of session.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients clarify what they want, understand what’s getting in the way, and strengthen their own motivation for change. My approach is collaborative and non-judgmental, helping clients explore ambivalence and move toward goals at a pace that feels doable and authentic.
