I’m a therapist who believes people do their best when they feel understood, supported, and genuinely welcomed. I work with children, teens, and adults, and I focus on creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are. My style is warm, collaborative, and down‑to‑earth—I’ll meet you where you’re at, help you make sense of what’s getting in the way, and walk alongside you as you build the skills and confidence to move forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a comfortable, low‑pressure conversation where we get to know what’s been going on for you and what you’re hoping to change. I’ll ask some guiding questions, but the pace is yours, and you can share as much or as little as feels right. We’ll talk about your goals, what support looks like for you, and how we might work together. By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of what therapy with me will feel like and what our next steps will be.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring more than 23 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families, and that depth of practice shapes the way I show up as a therapist. My background spans outpatient mental health, early childhood work, and family‑systems settings, which gives me a broad, practical understanding of how people grow, cope, and relate across different stages of life. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma‑focused CBT, mindfulness, DBT skills, play‑based approaches, family therapy, and attachment‑informed work, choosing what fits each person rather than forcing a one‑size‑fits‑all model. What makes my approach unique is the combination of clinical experience, developmental insight, and a grounded, collaborative style. I’m skilled at breaking things down in ways that feel manageable, helping clients understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and offering tools that actually work in real life. My goal is always to meet people where they are and support meaningful, sustainable change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You’ll get the most out of working with me if you’re looking for practical support, clearer coping tools, and a space where things can feel more manageable. I’m a good fit for people who are thoughtful and capable but find themselves stuck in patterns like overthinking, people‑pleasing, stress, or old habits that are hard to break. I also work closely with parents who want their child to have a safe place to talk, build skills, and better understand their emotions and behaviors. Whether you’re coming in for yourself or for your child, my role is to help you sort through what’s getting in the way and build strategies that support steadier relationships, healthier coping, and meaningful progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I use cognitive behavioral therapy by helping people of all ages understand how their thoughts, feelings, and actions influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and practice practical skills that support healthier coping and progress toward their treatment goals.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma‑Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by helping clients understand how their trauma experiences affect their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and then guiding them through skills that support safety, regulation, and healing. We work step‑by‑step to build coping strategies, process difficult memories at a pace that feels manageable, and strengthen supportive beliefs. This approach helps clients feel more grounded, empowered, and in control as they move toward recovery.

Play Therapy

I use play therapy strategies to help children and young people express themselves in ways that feel natural, safe, and developmentally appropriate. Through play, art, games, and creative activities, I support clients in exploring emotions, practicing coping skills, and working through challenges at their own pace. My experience spans early childhood through young adulthood, allowing me to adapt these approaches as clients grow—shifting from imaginative, hands‑on play for younger children to more structured, expressive, and insight‑building activities for teens and young adults.

Strength-Based

I take a strength‑based, client‑centered approach by focusing on each person’s existing abilities, values, and resilience rather than just their challenges. Clients guide the pace and direction of our work, and I support them in building on what already works well in their lives. This approach helps people feel empowered, respected, and actively involved in creating meaningful change.

Eclectic

I use an eclectic approach that pulls from mindfulness, DBT, family therapy, and attachment‑based work so I can tailor treatment to each person’s needs. Mindfulness and DBT skills help clients build awareness, regulate emotions, and respond more effectively in stressful moments. Family therapy and attachment‑focused strategies support healthier relationship patterns, strengthen communication, and address the impact of early experiences on current functioning. Blending these approaches allows me to offer flexible, individualized care that meets clients where they are
