LCSW, 7 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clincical Social Worker, and am passionate about supporting individuals and families in navigating life’s challenges with empathy and evidence-based care. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, OCD, and related concerns, using approaches such as CBT, ERP, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness based strategies. In sessions, I focus on helping clients develop practical coping skills, build self awareness, and strengthen resilience, while fostering a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. My goal is to empower clients to achieve meaningful, lasting change and improve their overall well-being.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and see if we're a good fit. I want to hear about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. You can expect me to ask some questions about your background, your current concerns, and your goals. This is also your chance to ask me any questions you have about my approach, my experience, or the therapy process in general. There's no pressure to have everything figured out. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and understood.
My greatest strength as a therapist lies in my dynamic and collaborative approach. I don't just sit back and listen; I actively partner with you to explore your concerns, challenge limiting beliefs, and build practical skills. I see therapy as a team effort, where you are the expert on your own life and I'm a skilled guide. I also bring a holistic perspective to my work, meaning we'll consider how your thoughts, feelings, and physical health are all interconnected. This helps us address the root causes of your concerns, not just the surface-level symptoms. Finally, I'm dedicated to helping you achieve lasting change. My goal is to empower you with the tools and self-awareness you need to confidently navigate future challenges, long after our work together has ended.
I work best with individuals who are motivated to understand themselves on a deeper level. My ideal clients are ready to actively engage in their personal growth journey, not just during our sessions but throughout their week. They are curious about their inner world and are open to exploring the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. My approach is particularly effective for those dealing with anxiety, stress, and life transitions. This includes people who feel overwhelmed by perfectionism, relationship issues, or major changes like career shifts or grief. If you're looking for more than just a quick fix and are ready to invest in building lasting coping skills and self-awareness, you will find our work together to be a powerful and transformative experience. I offer a supportive, collaborative space for you to build resilience and create a more fulfilling life.
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to their emotional distress. I work collaboratively with clients to develop practical coping strategies and behavioral techniques that promote healthier responses to stress and anxiety. By incorporating CBT, I empower clients to build self-awareness and develop skills they can use to manage their symptoms more effectively in their daily lives.
In my sessions, I use family therapy to improve communication and strengthen relationships among family members. I help families identify patterns that contribute to conflict and work collaboratively to develop healthier dynamics. By fostering understanding and support, I guide families toward creating a more positive and cohesive environment.
In my sessions, I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore their ambivalence and strengthen their motivation for change. I use open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations to empower clients in identifying their personal goals. This collaborative approach allows clients to build confidence and take meaningful steps toward positive behavioral change.
In my sessions, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients gradually face feared situations or thoughts while resisting compulsive behaviors. I work collaboratively with clients to create a hierarchy of exposures tailored to their specific triggers. Through repeated practice, clients learn to tolerate discomfort and reduce anxiety, ultimately gaining greater control over their symptoms.
In my sessions, I use Mindfulness-Based techniques to help clients increase awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. I guide clients in practicing present-moment focus and nonjudgmental acceptance to reduce stress and reactivity. These strategies help clients build emotional regulation, resilience, and a greater sense of calm in daily life.
