I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX LPC #88209) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (CA LPCC #16170) based in Dallas, TX with over 10 years of experience in mental health and recovery-oriented work. I dedicate my practice to helping individuals navigate life's complexities and find their own path to well-being. My approach is warm, collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. I believe that counseling is a partnership, and I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. My goal is to empower you to build resilience, cultivate self-compassion, and create a life that feels authentic and meaningful to you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another. It's a conversation where you share what brought you to counseling, and I begin to understand your unique situation. This initial meeting serves as both a relaxed conversation and a formal assessment, as I gather information about your concerns, history, and goals. I will guide the conversation with some questions, but you'll always steer the discussion. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. This session also gives you a chance to ask me questions about my approach and decide if we are a good fit. My priority is for you to feel heard, understood, and safe.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my holistic and person-centered approach. I don't believe a single-size-fits-all model works, so I integrate various therapeutic methods to create a plan that fits you. My work rests on the understanding that you are a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. I help clients cultivate self-advocacy and an internal locus of control. We'll work on trusting your intuition, setting healthy boundaries, and focusing on what you can control. I also integrate mindfulness and somatic awareness, helping you connect with your body and understand how you hold stress and emotions. We'll explore generational patterns and the nuances of your primary relationships, including codependency, so you can build healthier connections with yourself and others. I acknowledge that societal norms, identity, and intersectionality play a significant role in your experiences, and we will honor these aspects of your story. Ultimately, I help you find meaning and purpose, embracing the messy, non-linear nature of human growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are capable, high-functioning individuals who are used to holding everything together. On the outside, you look successful and driven. On the inside, you are exhausted by chronic anxiety, burnout, or the lingering weight of past trauma. You've likely spent years in survival mode—either pushing through on frantic energy or shutting down when you feel overwhelmed. You might overthink everything, trying to predict and control your environment to stay safe. You may have even tried standard talk therapy, only to find that simply understanding your past isn't enough to change how your body actually feels in the present. I am best positioned to serve clients who are ready to stop just "managing symptoms" and want to truly heal. You don't want more coping skills; you want to reclaim your peace and your agency. My approach is built on a simple premise: you are not broken, and you do not need to be "fixed." Your survival strategies kept you safe, but they are now exhausting you. Together, we will work to soothe your nervous system and gently uncover the calm, regulated, and resilient core self that has always been inside you. If you are ready to stop just surviving and finally feel at home in your own life, I am here to guide you.

Dr. Parker has been a joy to talk with since day one. He very attentive to what I’m talking about and always has a way of pointing things out to me that I say to help better my way of thinking. He also adds a humorous touch to our conversations which allows me to be more comfortable talking about my week.
