LCSW, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
Hi! I'm Kimberly Robinson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina, Virginia and Delaware. I received my BSW at Elizabeth City State University in 2015 and my MSW in 2020 at East Carolina University. With extensive experience in mental health and wellness, I specialize in helping adults navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, self doubt, and life transitions. I have 5 years of experience in composing the minds of individuals of all ages. I am dedicated to supporting women and men on their journey toward growth, healing, and empowerment. My goal is to help you feel confident, balanced, and equipped to face the challenges of life with clarity and composure. Let’s work together to build the resilience and self-awareness you need to succeed—on your terms.
During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. I’ll invite you to share your goals, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This initial session is a collaborative space—there’s no pressure to have it all figured out. My focus is on creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns, strengths, and strategies to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to affirm my clients and help them to identify the potential and strengths that is within them. A few more strengths that I have includes ensuring that my clients feel seen, heard, and validated during therapy sessions. I have a positive way of ensuring that my clients feel comfortable during their therapy sessions with me.
My ideal clients are women and athletes who are ready to evolve beyond stress, self-doubt, and burnout to create lives filled with purpose and balance. They value personal growth and are motivated to build emotional resilience, whether they're navigating life transitions, relationships, or the mental demands of competitive sports. I work best with clients who are open to self-reflection, ready to set healthy boundaries, and committed to improving their mental and emotional well-being. Together, we'll focus on strengthening your mindset, managing performance pressure, and developing tools that help you show up as your best self- on and off the field.
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past five years. many clients challenge recurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
I use this treatment method to empower clients struggling with anxiety to acknowledge their unhelpful thoughts and emotions and how to not become entangled in these thoughts and emotions. I educate clients on the different ACT strategies that will help them to do this effectively. My goal is to guide my clients on effective ways to reach mental clarity, organize, and harmonize their unhelpful thinking patterns.
I am a Christian therapist that believes that Jesus and therapy goes together. I am interested in educating clients about different prayer strategies that they can use as a coping skill to improve their mental health. I am also open to using faith based principles to improve unhelpful thought patterns if my client is open to this or requests this type of intervention.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy can help clients to develop a greater sense of awareness and inner peace. I provide guidance and support to help my clients learn mindfulness techniques, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve emotional regulation.
I help my clients to identify their strengths during sessions to empower them to use their strengths and positive resources to reach their desired goals, improve certain situations in their lives, and overall mental health.
