Hello, I’m Dr. Ian Griffin, PhD, LCSW-R. I’m a licensed psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, and couples through life’s challenges. My clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, and stress related to work, identity, and major life transitions. I’ve worked across clinical, educational, and community settings, which allows me to bring a grounded, real-world perspective into therapy. My approach is warm, collaborative, and structured, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and couples counseling strategies. I believe therapy should be both supportive and practical—helping clients better understand their patterns while building tools they can use outside of sessions. I’m passionate about mental health advocacy and empowering clients to create meaningful, sustainable change. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful space where you feel heard, challenged when needed, and supported as you move toward greater clarity, balance, and well-being. I’m based in Wappingers Falls, New York, and offer telehealth services.
