Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in practice since 2006, Licensed in 2009. I am based in Arizona and was raised in New York. My Master's degree is in Social Work from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. I help adults from all backgrounds learn how to cope with their childhood trauma and live in the present instead of the past. When you are ready I am here to help! My go to modality is EMDR Therapy. I am certified in EMDR.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We will start with introductions where you can ask as many questions as you would like about my training, background and experience. After, we will discuss the challenges and concerns you are dealing with and come up with measurable specific goals tailored to your situation to determine how to proceed in future sessions. This process will be the initial treatment plan that can be reviewed at any time during our therapy together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a good listener and will treat you with respect during our work together as we are partners in this process. I have a good understanding of trauma and how it affects clients physically and mentally. I continue to learn new information by engaging in training and networking with other professionals in my field. I am very open, honest and will admit that I am not perfect and will collaborate with you willingly on any concerning matters that come may come up. If you are willing to work hard we can do great things together.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am certified in EMDR therapy. This type of therapy can help to remove underlying negative messages that came about through past trauma. It also lessens the impact of traumatic memories for the client over a period of time by processing the experiences through eight structured phases. When we meet, I will provide a very clear picture of what therapy will look like for you so that you feel empowered and ready to work.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Parts Work helps us identify, accept and learn about the parts of ourselves that contribute to feeling "stuck" in our life and relationships. These parts have helped us survive in a stressful childhood and are performing roles that may not be helpful in our present life. We can kindly and creatively redirect these parts for healthy coping for the present.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been a modality that I have utilized for the past 20 years with clients as it is a great way to learn how our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are related to how we respond in our work, family life and any other setting that we regularly encounter. It helps all of us become self-aware enough to reduce our stress, anxiety and feel most empowered.
