I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have experience working with a diverse population, starting at 6 years old up to adulthood, all coming from diverse backgrounds and situations, which include trauma, crisis, anxiety, depression, grief, and loss. I like to take a client-centered approach to keep therapy comfortable and positive. Accepting that you need help and seeking out a professional is a huge step; I want to honor this time and space to support you through your healing journey and create a space that encourages growth and acceptance.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

It is very important to me that my client feels comfortable with me. I facilitate this through rapport building and learning more about my client and their life experiences.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My hope is to join my clients on their journey to improved mental health. I want to build relationships and provide an additional level of support. I want each client to feel comfortable in coming exactly as they are. I never want to have an agenda or fit therapy into a box, I thrive in recognizing that each individual deserves specialized care and understanding.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I look to partner with my clients to help guide them through whatever difficulties have led them to me. It’s important to me that each client feels heard and appreciated in a trusting and comfortable environment, which I facilitate by being judge-free and validating. I strive to gain each client's trust and help them feel comfortable sharing the most vulnerable pieces of themselves. My ultimate goal is to create a safe space that allows for healing past trauma and nurturing present growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I find that identifying negative thoughts and learning to reframe them can help to lessen depression and anxiety, as well as improve overall wellbeing.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is helpful in creating a framework to improve communication skills, improve emotional regulation and improve coping with big feelings.

Interpersonal

It can be helpful to better understand ourselves and how we show up in the world related to conflicts with others and difficulties adjusting to change.
