I am a licensed clinical social worker and have 15 years of experience as a therapist. In our work together, you will learn to curb cyclical, negative thinking and instead focus on building healthy relationships with yourself and others. Breaking life-long habits can take time, and that’s what I am here for. We will explore both helpful and unhelpful patterns. You will build and integrate skills and tools that you can put into practice right away. My role in our work is to support you in overcoming your fears and feelings of overwhelm, so that you can strengthen your sense of self and find more ways to experience joy.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together we will spend time getting to the heart of what feels most important for you to get out of this process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I consider my greatest strength as being able to identify and tap into your inner strengths. I am also a board certified health coach with a background in functional medicine. I value a holistic approach that addresses you as a whole person, mind, body and soul.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

One of my aims is to help clients discover what it is they feel is missing in their lives, what they’d like to change about their behavior, and to hone in on what matters most to them. I use therapeutic interventions that are grounded in scientific research to treat anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, stress and relationships

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

My therapeutic orientation involves 1) somatic awareness and mindfulness and 2) process-oriented therapy. Somatic awareness and mindfulness facilitate allowing, understanding, and reclaiming of the body’s communication and wisdom. Clients recognize nervous system activation and learn to self-soothe during distress and overwhelm.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

My aapproach to treatment emphasizes empathic understanding and action-oriented skills training, using cognitive, behavioral, and mindfulness-based strategies to help strengthen clients' adaptive responses to difficult emotions and events. Research indicates that this approach can be highly effective for adults with general anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, social anxiety, panic, post-traumatic stress, depression, work related stress, and school stress.
