About me

As a strengths-based, client-centered counselor, I prioritize building rapport and creating a space where clients are comfortable opening up without fear of judgement and feel genuinely supported. I believe that healing and growth happen through connection—when appropriate, I use humor to relate to clients and provide perspective. My approach is flexible and tailored to each individual, drawing from a range of modalities--allowing me to show up for you in the way that you need, and support you as you move forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is all about getting to know each other to ensure we are a good fit. I want to know what motivated you to seek therapy, your goals for the time we work together, and some background information. It is also a chance for you to decide if you feel comfortable with me, with my approach, and if you think we will be a good fit.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Authenticity, curiosity, and fidelity are the qualities that allow me to build strong therapeutic connections. Genuine curiosity and determination to guide you to a better understanding of yourself is what drives every session. To best serve you, I constantly evaluate my approach and interventions to ensure they are congruent with your strengths and goals, and that you are being appropriately challenged in a way that feels safe and supportive.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you are curious about what stops you from moving toward your goals or why the things that make you tick make you tick AND you want to use that information to make a change, we can work together to identify and understand obstacles, process the feelings that emerge, and create a path forward. Therapy can be scary, and is often a lot of hard work, but when you are ready to dive in, I am here to help you on your journey.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

Treatment methods and interventions must always be tailored to the individual, but everyone has strengths. The starting point is identifying the client's strengths--from there, I work with the client to create a treatment plan that utilizes those strengths to meet an identified goal.
