(she/her)
I am so glad that you are here! My name is Courtney, and I am a LCSW. I offer a laid-back, compassionate space where you can show up exactly as you are. My approach is rooted in curiosity, humor, and honesty-because therapy should feel like a real conversation, not a cold process. I'm simply here to help you explore your story, knowing you're the expert on your own life.
During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and explore what brought you to therapy. This is your space to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your story, your strengths, and what you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll start to identify goals and figure out the best way to work together moving forward.
I tailor my approach to your unique needs, blending person-centered therapy with techniques from CBT and DBT to meet you where you are and help you move forward at your own pace. I am also trained in EMDR and can look into that as an option for treatment as well.
I am best positioned to support young adults navigating the complexities of relationships, life transitions, and the search for purpose and direction. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed by expectations, uncertain about their next steps, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I also have a strong passion for working with women who are new to motherhood and adjusting to the many emotional, mental, and practical responsibilities that come with this season of life. Whether it’s managing stress, identity shifts, or finding balance, I provide a supportive space to process and grow. Across all clients, I focus on helping individuals reconnect with their sense of purpose, prioritize meaningful self-care, and develop a more authentic, aligned version of themselves. My approach is warm, collaborative, and centered on empowering clients to create lives that feel fulfilling and true to who they are.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I typically begin by collaborating with the client to identify unhelpful thought patterns, then use techniques such as thought records, cognitive restructuring, and behavioral experiments to help them test out new ways of thinking and behaving.
