I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients are high-achieving, thoughtful individuals who look capable on the outside but feel exhausted or self-critical on the inside. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, ACT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness to help clients build practical skills while also developing deeper self-understanding. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more confident in your decisions, and less controlled by anxiety or old narratives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is focused on understanding your story and what brings you to therapy right now. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about your current concerns, history, strengths, and goals. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels manageable. You can expect a structured but conversational session. By the end, we’ll clarify what you’d like to work on and outline a plan that feels collaborative and realistic. Most clients leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and clearer about next steps.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often tell me they appreciate that I balance compassion with structure. I’m supportive and nonjudgmental, but I also provide clear tools and practical strategies you can use right away. I specialize in helping high-functioning adults manage anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. I integrate CBT, ACT, DBT skills, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness in a way that feels personalized rather than rigid. I pay close attention to patterns, underlying beliefs, and nervous system regulation. My goal is not to keep you in therapy forever. It’s to help you build insight and skills so you feel capable and confident navigating challenges on your own.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are insightful, motivated, and ready to examine their patterns with honesty and courage. My clients often struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, life transitions, family stress, or unresolved trauma. Many are navigating major changes such as new roles, career shifts, parenting stress, or relationship challenges. You may be someone who holds a lot together for others but rarely feels fully supported yourself. You might overthink, overperform, or feel pressure to “get it right.” You may know why you feel the way you do but still find yourself repeating the same cycles. You don’t have to have everything figured out. You just need to be willing to show up, reflect, and practice new skills between sessions. If you’re looking for a therapist who is warm but direct, practical but thoughtful, and focused on helping you build long-term tools, we may be a good fit.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients build a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions instead of trying to fight or eliminate them. Together, we focus on clarifying your values and taking meaningful action, even when anxiety, fear, or self-doubt show up. The goal is to help you live a life that feels aligned and purposeful, not controlled by your inner critic.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we look at the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I help clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns and gently challenge them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. This approach is practical and skills-based, giving you tools you can use between sessions to reduce anxiety, depression, and stress.

Trauma-Focused CBT

When working with trauma, I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to create a safe, structured space to process painful experiences. We move at a pace that feels manageable while building coping skills to regulate emotions and reduce distress. The goal is to help you make sense of what happened without it continuing to define your present.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy helps you slow down and become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and body sensations without judgment. I integrate grounding exercises and present-moment practices to reduce overwhelm and improve emotional regulation. This approach helps you respond more intentionally instead of reacting on autopilot.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I teach practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and reducing impulsive behaviors. We focus on distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and communication skills. DBT is especially helpful for clients who feel stuck in patterns that feel overwhelming or hard to control.
