About me

My name is Faith, and I am passionate about helping people find hope, healing, and balance in the midst of life’s challenges. I work with individuals who are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, mood difficulties, and low self-esteem, and I believe therapy is not just about managing symptoms—it’s also about discovering your strengths, building resilience, and creating meaningful change. As a therapist, I bring warmth, compassion, and practical guidance into each session. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can be fully yourself. My role is to walk alongside you, encourage you, and empower you to move toward the healthier, more fulfilling life you desire. For those who wish, I also offer faith-based counseling as part of the journey. Change is possible—and with support, you can create the healthier, more balanced life you deserve.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll begin with a warm introduction and give you space to settle in. I’ll gather some background information to better understand your story, and you’ll also have time to share what feels most important for me to know about you. Together, we’ll discuss the challenges you’re currently facing and explore what you hope to gain from therapy. I’ll also explain my role as your therapist, what you can expect from me, and how our sessions will work. By the end of our first meeting, we’ll collaborate on a plan tailored to your needs and goals—so you leave with a sense of direction and hope for the journey ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are encouragement, support, and empowerment. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe to let your guard down, process life’s challenges, and discover new possibilities. That’s why I work hard to create an accepting and nonjudgmental space where you can be fully yourself—free of pressure, comparison, or criticism. Clients often share that our time together helps them feel seen, heard, and understood in ways they may not have experienced before. In this environment, growth becomes possible—whether it’s learning how to manage stress and anxiety, building healthier relationships, or gaining the confidence to set boundaries and pursue personal goals. I view myself as one of your biggest fans. I will cheer for your progress, celebrate your victories—both big and small—and walk alongside you when life feels heavy. Together, we will focus on practical steps and lasting changes that strengthen your mental health, nurture your resilience, and improve your overall well-being. “For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-based counseling as part of the healing journey.”

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, or low self-esteem and are seeking tools to feel more balanced and confident. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are motivated to make changes but may feel unsure of where to start. Whether your goal is to set healthier boundaries, strengthen relationships, improve coping skills, or simply feel more at peace within yourself, I will walk alongside you and provide support, encouragement, and practical strategies to help you get there. For clients who desire it, I integrate faith-based counseling into the process, offering a spiritual foundation for growth and healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is especially helpful when someone feels stuck in patterns of thinking or reacting that cause stress, anxiety, or emotional pain. Together, we will gently notice these patterns, understand how they impact your emotions and behaviors, and explore healthier ways of thinking and responding. CBT provides practical tools that can bring relief, improve coping skills, and help you feel a greater sense of control in your daily life. This approach is collaborative, meaning we will work side by side to set goals, practice new strategies, and celebrate your progress along the way.

Faith based therapy

Faith-based counseling weaves a client’s spiritual beliefs into the healing process. For many people, faith is a guiding part of how they make sense of life, find strength in difficult seasons, and connect to hope. In these sessions, we may draw on your faith through personal reflection, meaningful spiritual conversations, prayer (if desired), or exploring values rooted in your beliefs. This approach combines emotional support with spiritual guidance to help strengthen resilience, deepen connection, and foster a greater sense of peace and purpose. Faith-based counseling is always client-led and integrated only if it aligns with your goals and desires for therapy.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a compassionate and structured approach that helps clients build practical skills for managing strong emotions, navigating stress, and improving relationships. It is especially helpful for individuals who experience emotions that feel overwhelming, come on quickly, or are difficult to manage during conflict or stressful situations. Through DBT, clients learn skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication. These tools not only reduce emotional intensity but also strengthen balance, self-control, and healthier connections with others.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) focuses on creating a safe and supportive space where you feel truly heard, accepted, and valued—just as you are. This approach recognizes that you are the expert of your own life, and with the right environment, you have the ability to grow, heal, and make meaningful changes. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes the foundation for healing, built on trust, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. Over time, clients often find greater self-awareness, increased confidence, and a deeper ability to navigate life with authenticity and resilience.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a practical, encouraging approach that helps clients focus on what’s working and where they want to go, rather than becoming stuck in what’s not. This method emphasizes your strengths, resources, and past successes as building blocks for positive change. By highlighting even small steps forward, SFBT builds confidence, nurtures hope, and creates momentum toward achieving your goals. It’s especially effective for clients who want a focused, goal-oriented approach that brings clarity and direction.

I felt like we really connected. She made me feel safe to share things I had never shared before. And she made sure I knew she related to my experience! I was so nervous for the appointment but now I can't wait for my next session.
