Welcome to my practice! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Central Florida with over 7 years of experience providing counseling to children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings, including community mental health, schools, and private practice. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, stress management, life transitions, and grief. In our sessions, I draw from a range of therapeutic techniques to best meet your unique needs, with a primary focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This approach helps to identify and explore the connections between thought patterns and behaviors. I also take a holistic approach to treatment, emphasizing the mind-body connection and the importance of daily habits in improving overall wellness. Together, we’ll work to create lasting, positive change on your healing journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, my priority is to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where we can begin to get acquainted. We’ll start by talking about the therapeutic process, sharing information about my approach and how we’ll work together. I’ll also gather some background information to better understand your personal history and the context of your concerns. Then, we’ll explore your goals for therapy and what you hope to accomplish. This conversation is key to building a strong therapeutic connection and laying the groundwork for our work together

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, my greatest strengths lie in my ability to build strong, trusting relationships with a diverse range of clients, ensuring they feel seen, understood, and valued. I am highly skilled in fostering an empathetic environment where clients can openly share their experiences. My tailored approach empowers clients explore thoughts and feelings and the ability to set and achieve meaningful objectives.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My ideal therapy client is anyone who is ready to engage in self-reflection and is open to change, whether they are beginning therapy for the first time or have previous experience with the therapeutic process. I welcome individuals who are navigating difficult life circumstances or who simply feel called to better understand themselves and grow. I create a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. Together, we work on understanding their needs and desires, with a focus on making positive changes that feel meaningful to them.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used to help patients identify unhelpful thinking patterns and learn the correlation between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I use this in my treatment approach to help with anxiety, self-esteem, peer issues, and more.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is essential in a goal oriented therapeutic approach. Motivational Interviewing allows the patient to develop awareness of behaviors and make positive changes. It also gives patients the opportunity to work collaboratively with me toward their treatment goals.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered allows for patients to navigate emotions in a non-judgmental safe space. This approach allows for self-exploration and focuses less on the issues being presented and more on the patient's ability to work through some of those issues.

Play Therapy

I have used play therapy when working with children and adolescents. I have extensive experience working with this population and I believe play therapy allows for self-exploration and a more natural expression of emotions for children.
