New to Grow
I am a licensed clinical social worker who believes that healing happens in safe, supportive spaces where you feel seen, respected, and empowered. I work with individuals navigating life transitions, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, and the lingering impact of stress or trauma. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths and move forward with greater clarity, balance, and confidence. My approach to therapy is collaborative, solution-focused, and tailored to your unique needs. Rather than staying stuck in what’s wrong, we focus on what’s possible—identifying what’s already working, clarifying your goals, and building practical tools you can use in everyday life. I believe you are the expert on your own experience, and my role is to walk alongside you with compassion, insight, and gentle guidance. I bring extensive experience supporting individuals, families, and couples through crisis, grief, relational challenges, and periods of deep transition. I strive to create a calm, grounded environment where you can show up as you are, without judgment or pressure, and feel supported as you grow. Above all, I believe therapy should feel hopeful, empowering, and meaningful. Whether you’re seeking relief, direction, or deeper self-understanding, I am honored to partner with you on your healing journey.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will focus on helping you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We’ll spend time getting to know what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to change or improve, and what has helped—or hasn’t helped—you in the past. There is no pressure to share everything at once; we move at a pace that feels right for you. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and current challenges, while also giving you space to share what feels most important. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals for therapy and what progress would look like for you. You can expect the session to be collaborative, practical, and grounded in respect. By the end of our first meeting, many clients leave with increased clarity, a sense of relief, and a few initial tools or reflections to carry into daily life. We’ll also discuss next steps and determine how we can work together in a way that best supports your needs moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to create a calm, grounded space and to help clients turn insight into meaningful action. I am intentional about building strong therapeutic relationships where clients feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. Many clients share that they feel at ease quickly and appreciate my steady, nonjudgmental presence. My approach is collaborative and solution-focused, helping clients identify their strengths, clarify goals, and make progress in ways that feel practical and sustainable. I balance emotional processing with concrete tools so that therapy feels both supportive and effective. Clients often leave sessions with greater clarity, a renewed sense of hope, and steps they can apply in real life. I am trauma-informed and attentive to pacing, ensuring that therapy does not feel overwhelming or rushed. I meet clients where they are and tailor my approach to their needs, whether they are navigating stress, grief, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. I also bring a systems-aware and culturally responsive lens, recognizing how identity, relationships, and life context shape mental health. Another strength is my ability to work with both individuals and couples, supporting personal growth alongside relational healing. I help clients improve communication, strengthen boundaries, and develop healthier patterns that support long-term wellbeing. Above all, I am deeply committed to helping clients feel empowered, not dependent on therapy, but equipped with the confidence and skills to continue growing beyond our work together.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to serve individuals and couples who are ready for meaningful change and are seeking a supportive, grounded space to grow. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or exhausted from carrying too much for too long. You may be navigating a life transition, relationship strain, burnout, grief, or the lingering effects of stress or trauma, and looking for practical support that also honors your emotional experience. I work well with clients who value reflection but also want tools they can use in real life. If you are motivated to better understand yourself, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, or create healthier boundaries, we may be a good fit. My approach is especially helpful for those who want therapy to feel focused, collaborative, and forward-moving rather than open-ended or overwhelming. I frequently support adults who are balancing multiple roles, professionals, caregivers, partners, parents, or students, who may appear “high-functioning” on the outside but feel depleted, anxious, or disconnected on the inside. Many of my clients are used to being the strong one for others and are now realizing they need space to be supported themselves. I am also well suited to work with individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, including communication breakdowns, conflict cycles, trust issues, blended family dynamics, and the emotional impact of major transitions. I support couples who want to reconnect, rebuild, and grow with intention, whether they are in crisis or seeking to strengthen an already stable relationship. Clients who have experienced grief, loss, or trauma, whether recent or long-standing, often find my approach grounding and steady. I aim to help clients feel safe enough to process their experiences while also building coping strategies that support day-to-day functioning and long-term healing. My work is trauma-informed and paced with care, respecting your readiness and capacity. I am particularly attuned to the experiences of clients from marginalized or historically underserved communities and strive to offer care that is culturally responsive, affirming, and rooted in dignity. I welcome clients who value a therapist who is thoughtful about identity, equity, and the impact of systems on mental health. My ideal clients are not expected to have everything figured out. You do not need perfect words, a clear plan, or certainty about what you want from therapy.
