About me

Do you have moments when your emotions are too much to bear, and you are unsure how to move forward? I can’t promise to make you forget all your heartaches, but I can give you the tools needed to handle them effectively. I attended the University of Florida and received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I then attended the University of Central Florida and received a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in various private practice settings, and have loved the work my clients and I have been able to do together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session will be more of a question and answer session, where I will ask many questions that will allow me to get to know your background and current stressors more. After this is complete, the real work can begin. In our work together, I promise to create a safe and accepting environment where you can be your authentic self while also allowing you to guide the way and move at your own pace. You are capable and worthy of achieving everything you’ve desired, as long as you change the thought patterns that have held you captive, learn what strategies help you overcome your tribulations, and ultimately develop true acceptance of yourself.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe that I am very personable, and always try to make therapy a place my clients want to return to. I am very open, and also strive to help my clients best understand why they are feeling what they are feeling. I will also point about unproductive behaviors that may be hindering progress, in a productive and loving way, and give you tools on how to adjust it. I am also willing to research things I do not know a lot about, as there is always more to learn.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have experience working with children, preteens, teenagers, and adults. I have also worked with many challenges, ranging from depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, stress management, relationship issues, self-esteem, co-dependency, women’s issues, and career counseling. Using mostly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and a humanistic approach, I will assist you in developing a healthier mindset.
