Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Master's Degree from the University of North Texas and have been serving North Texas since 1997. I support clients looking for support to manage anxiety, depression, grief, and life changes. I provide individual therapy with the mindset that the client is their own expert. Common goals include identifying personal strengths, areas of concern and exploring solutions for optimal growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I love meeting new people. My greatest joy is connecting with others in helpful ways. Although our experiences are unique, we are in this world together.

My treatment methods

Adlerian

I use Adlerian Therapy in my work to establish a strong therapeutic alliance, to help clients explore emotions, and to provide support and encouragement to reach personal goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT works by identifying and addressing how a person's thoughts and behaviors interact to create anxiety. I work with clients to recognize how negative thought patterns influence a their feelings and behaviors. During sessions, CBT skills are practiced, feelings are identified, unhelpful thoughts are challenged, and positive behaviors increase.

Grief Therapy

Grief is a normal reaction to loss. Although grief can be wrought with sadness, anger, and anxiety, it serves an important purpose. Grieving allows people to come to terms with their loss by figuring out how to move forward in life. Grief Therapy involves expressing emotions around the actual or perceived loss.

Strength-Based

Do you have a clear idea of your strengths and how they can be used? In Strength-Based Therapy, we will identify your personal success strategies and discover areas desired growth.
