LMHC, 18 years of experience
New to Grow
My name is Lorna Wittenrich, I am a LMHC in Florida. I specialize in supporting parents and individuals navigating some of life's most complex and tender seasons of life. My philosophy is rooted in compassion, helping clients build resilience and find meaning during times of transition and stress. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where you truly are the expert in your own life. My role is to provide support, insight, and strategies that empower you to navigate challenges with a greater clarity and confidence. I draw from approaches such as attachment-based therapy, mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care, tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs and goals.
During the first session, I provide a safe and supportive space, where you are invited to share your life's experiences and what brought you to therapy. Through collaboration and setting a foundation for a safe environment, I hope to start a productive therapeutic relationship.
I have 18 years experience working with infants, children and adults. I genuinely care about every client I work with with and providing person centered, compassionate and non-judgmental space is of utmost importance.
I have a specialty in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression or symptoms from trauma. I also have a passion of working with parents of neurodivergent children, single parenting challenges, and perinatal and postpartum concerns.
Our early childhood experiences and relational patterns with childhood caregivers impacts how we interact with and attach to others in our adult relationships. Together, we would identify any attachment wounds and work toward creating new experiences of safety, trust and connection within the therapeutic relationship. I am a firm believer that healthy and safe relationships are the catalyst for growth.
I create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard and accepted. By offering empathy, unconditional positive regard and genuineness, I support clients in exploring their thoughts, feelings and values without fear of criticism. This empowers them to increase self-awareness and move towards personal growth.
I use psychoeducation to provide clear, evidence-based information about mental health, trauma, stress or relationships dynamics to increase understanding. By normalizing experiences and providing information, ultimately reduces shame and confusion. This knowledge helps clients make informed choices, practice new coping skills and actively engage in the healing process.
I work towards identifying and amplifying each client's existing skills, values and resources rather than centering only on problems. Together we can reframe challenges as opportunities to apply strengths, build resilience and creating meaningful change.
I would help prioritize creating a safe and collaborative environment that empowers clients. I integrate an understanding of how trauma impacts the brain, body and relationships while validating experiences with compassion. Through building trust, enhancing self regulation, and fostering resilience, I support clients in healing and reclaiming a sense of agency.
