New to Grow
Hi, I’m Juliana, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with children, teens, and young adults navigating stress, anxiety, trauma, school challenges, and family transitions. I create a warm, supportive space where young people feel safe to be themselves, talk openly, and learn healthy ways to cope with big emotions. I partner closely with families while respecting each child’s voice, and I use practical, age-appropriate tools from mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and mind–body approaches to help youth build confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, I will ask some general questions to get to know you and better understand your needs and goals. Therapy is not meant to feel scary or intimidating, and you will never be forced to talk about anything before you are ready. We move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you, because building trust and a supportive relationship is the most important first step. We will also review any questionnaires you completed, discuss confidentiality, talk about how often we might meet, and begin setting goals for our work together in a way that fits your schedule and daily life.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths include my authenticity, determination, adaptability, and ongoing commitment to learning and growth. I approach my work with humility, recognizing that I do not have all the answers and that meaningful therapy is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning. I am especially passionate about integrating mind–body practices into therapy, as healing is not linear and looks different for every person. These approaches have profoundly shaped both my personal journey and clinical practice, and I am dedicated to thoughtfully sharing mind–body tools with clients who may benefit from this holistic path toward healing.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is a child, teen, or young adult who may be experiencing stress, anxiety, trauma, school or family challenges, or important life transitions, and is open to participating in therapy and learning new ways to cope and grow. I work best with clients who are willing to explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe, supportive space and take small, meaningful steps toward feeling more confident, understood, and emotionally secure. I myself was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, and I think it has changed the way I practice entirely. I am the kind of therapist who practices what they preach to others. In our sessions, we are a team. There is no right or wrong way to be in therapy, and my clients should know they will be safe with me.
Trauma Informed Care
I offer trauma-informed care rooted in warmth, trust, and genuine connection. I believe healing begins in a safe and supportive relationship, and I work collaboratively with clients to create a space where they feel seen, heard, and respected. My approach honors each person’s lived experience, identity, and strengths, while recognizing how trauma can impact emotions, relationships, and the body. I integrate mindfulness, emotional regulation skills, and evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT to help clients build coping tools, deepen self-understanding, and reconnect with a sense of stability and self-worth. I have extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and young adults navigating trauma, family conflict, and life transitions, and I meet clients with compassion, patience, and curiosity at every stage of their healing process.
Mind-body approach
I integrate mind–body approaches into my clinical work to support clients in understanding and responding to the connection between their emotions, nervous system, and physical experiences. I am a 200-hour trained yoga instructor and am currently completing my 500-hour training. I incorporate accessible practices such as mindfulness, guided meditation, breathwork, and gentle movement to help clients build grounding skills, improve emotional regulation, and develop a greater sense of safety and presence in their bodies. These approaches are always tailored to each client’s comfort level and therapeutic goals.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy regularly in my work with adolescents and young adults in career and education settings. I focus on helping youth recognize their strengths, set realistic goals, and build on what is already working for them. This collaborative approach supports confidence, motivation, and meaningful progress in a way that feels empowering and manageable.
Strength-Based
I work from a strengths-based perspective that emphasizes each client’s resilience, abilities, and lived experiences. I help youth and young adults recognize their existing skills and inner resources, even during challenging times, and use these strengths as a foundation for growth, confidence, and change.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to support clients in exploring their goals, values, and readiness for change in a nonjudgmental and collaborative way. This approach helps youth and young adults feel heard and supported while building motivation, self-trust, and clarity around next steps at their own pace.
