LCPC, 15 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello, my name is Vanessa Kellas, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a background in art therapy. I work with children, teens, and families, helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, and trauma. My approach is trauma-informed, integrating creative and expressive therapies alongside evidence-based practices like humanistic, solution-focused, person-centered, and strength-based approaches. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your feelings, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful growth. Every client’s journey is unique, and I tailor sessions to fit your goals and needs. I’m here to support you in finding your strengths and empowering positive change in your life.
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and understanding your goals for therapy. I’ll ask questions about your experiences, challenges, and strengths, and we’ll explore what you hope to achieve through our work together. Together, we’ll identify approaches that feel comfortable and meaningful for you, including creative or expressive techniques like art if you’re interested. This session is a safe space to ask questions, share your story, and begin building a collaborative plan tailored to your needs.
What sets my therapeutic approach apart is the combination of empathy, creativity, and client-centered collaboration. I integrate expressive and art-based methods with evidence-based practices to help clients explore feelings, build coping skills, and grow from their strengths. I focus on creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to engage actively in their own healing and personal growth.
I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to engage in therapy and explore personal growth. My ideal clients are open to creative approaches, such as art or other expressive techniques, and are willing to actively participate in building coping skills and insight. I work with children, teens, and families who are ready to explore challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, or emotional regulation in a collaborative and supportive environment.
