I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, addiction, and relationship/family challenges. As a bilingual therapist, I offer services in both English and Spanish.

I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and exploring the things that may be weighing on you.

I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and exploring the things that may be weighing on you. My approach is open-minded and empathetic, and I believe in meeting you where you are while honoring your unique experiences and needs.

Strengths

One of the greatest strengths I bring to my sessions is my ability to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. My approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, which emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I believe each client is the expert on their own experiences. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship and meet each client where they are, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I value collaboration, respect each person's individuality, and trust in their capacity for self-awareness, resilience, and change. I strive to help clients feel empowered to use their own voice, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.

Ideal clients

I welcome clients from all walks of life, recognizing that each person brings their own unique experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals to therapy. I enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at different stages of their personal journeys, whether they are navigating difficult life experiences, working through emotional challenges, seeking clarity, or pursuing personal growth. My person-centered approach allows me to meet each client where they are, honor their individuality, and create a safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental space where they feel empowered to explore their experiences and move toward meaningful change at their own pace.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) I use CBT to help clients recognize the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, explore how these patterns affect their daily lives, and develop healthier ways of responding to challenges. I support clients in building practical coping skills and using strategies that align with their individual needs and goals.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) I use DBT-informed techniques to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, develop distress tolerance, improve interpersonal effectiveness, and practice mindfulness. I support clients in learning how to manage intense emotions, navigate difficult situations, and communicate their needs more effectively. I approach this work with empathy and patience while helping clients build skills that improve their overall well-being.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their readiness for change in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Rather than telling clients what they should do, I would ask open-ended questions, listen reflectively, and help them identify their own reasons for making changes. I honor each client's autonomy and support them in exploring any uncertainty or ambivalence they may experience along the way.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered Therapy Person-centered therapy serves as the foundation of my therapeutic approach. I strive to create a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel accepted, understood, and comfortable expressing themselves authentically. I prioritize building a genuine therapeutic relationship through empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard. I believe clients have the capacity for growth and self-discovery, and I work with them as they explore their experiences and identify their own paths toward healing.

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify their strengths, recognize what is already working in their lives, and develop realistic steps toward their desired outcomes. I encourage clients to envision the changes they want to see, explore past successes, and identify resources they can build upon. Rather than focusing exclusively on problems, I help clients recognize possibilities and move toward meaningful, achievable goals at their own pace.
