My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use meditation and HeartMath techniques in sessions to help clients regulate their nervous systems and build emotional resilience. Whether we're addressing anxiety, burnout, or overwhelm, I often guide clients through simple breath-based practices to activate heart-brain coherence and bring the body into a state of calm. When appropriate, I incorporate HeartMath biofeedback tools to help clients see in real time how their thoughts and emotions impact their physiological state. These practices support deeper self-awareness, increase capacity for stress, and empower clients to access a sense of calm and clarity both in and outside of sessions.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in sessions to help clients develop psychological flexibility—the ability to stay present, open, and aligned with their values even in the face of difficult thoughts or emotions. Together, we explore how to unhook from unhelpful mental patterns through tools like cognitive defusion, mindfulness, and acceptance. I guide clients in identifying their core values and taking committed action toward what matters most, even when discomfort shows up. ACT offers a powerful, compassionate framework for building a meaningful life while making space for the full range of human experience.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients understand and heal the different “parts” of themselves—like the inner critic, the people pleaser, or the anxious protector. In sessions, we work to unblend from these parts, build curiosity and compassion toward them, and connect with the calm, wise core of the Self. IFS allows clients to better understand why they react the way they do, reduce inner conflict, and create more space for choice, healing, and self-leadership. It’s a powerful, gentle way to support lasting emotional growth and integration.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients quickly identify and build on their strengths to create positive change. By highlighting past successes and envisioning desired outcomes, I support clients in developing actionable steps towards their goals in a short period of time.

Motivational Interviewing

I work with Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore and resolve ambivalence towards change. This empathetic and collaborative approach encourages individuals to find their own motivations and strengths to make positive life changes.
