LMFT, 6 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) based in Irvine, California, and I work with clients throughout the state via tele-health. I work with Adults and specialize in anxiety and stress disorders using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help my clients explore their triggers, emotions, develop coping skills, and achieve positive life changes.
In our initial session, my focus is on creating a supportive and collaborative environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences, thoughts, and feelings. I start by actively listening to your story and learning about what brings you to therapy, how you feel, and what aspects of your life are not working well for you. I also take the time to inquire about your past experiences with therapy, including what was successful and what didn't work for you. I want you to know that understanding your previous therapeutic journey helps me tailor our approach to better meet your needs and preferences. By the end of our first session, my goal is to collaboratively explore how I can be of assistance to you on your therapeutic journey. Together, we'll discuss potential goals, areas of focus, and strategies that align with your values and aspirations. Your input and feedback are crucial in shaping our work together, and I'm committed to supporting you every step of the way.
I specialize in working with adults who are experiencing challenges related to anxiety and stress. My clients often seek support in navigating the complexities of modern life, including work-related stress, relationship issues, life transitions, and general feelings of overwhelm. Whether addressing specific anxiety disorders, managing daily stressors, or improving overall emotional wellness, I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve greater peace of mind, confidence, and resilience in their lives. I approach therapy with a calm, non-judgmental, and direct communication style. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. I strive to cultivate a non-judgmental atmosphere where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of criticism or shame. I aim to foster a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect. This approach enables clients to engage more fully in the therapeutic process and make meaningful progress toward their goals.
In my therapy practice, I prioritize establishing a collaborative and empathetic therapeutic relationship as the cornerstone of transformative change. Drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and emotionally focused therapy (EFT), I integrate evidence-based techniques that target emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Through a comprehensive assessment, I gain insight into clients' strengths, challenges, and goals, delving into underlying patterns that impact their well-being. Utilizing CBT, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful beliefs and negative thought patterns, thereby fostering healthier coping strategies and adaptive choices. Additionally, I use EFT to help individuals develop a deeper understanding of their emotions and attachment needs, enabling clients to experience greater intimacy, trust, and connection within their relationships.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns that fuel anxiety, overwhelm, and feeling “stuck.” In our work together, you’ll learn how to recognize the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—and develop practical tools to shift them in ways that support your goals. CBT is active, collaborative, and solution-focused, meaning we won’t just talk about what’s bothering you; we’ll create specific strategies you can apply daily. Whether it’s breaking the cycle of procrastination, managing ADHD-related distractions, or calming anxious spirals, CBT gives you a roadmap to move from reacting automatically to responding with clarity and intention.
