My name is Meca, and I am a State of Ohio CSWMFT Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation. I’ve served in the field of social work for more than 17 years, and I truly believe this work is part of my calling. Supporting, empowering, and walking alongside others on their healing journey is not just my profession—it’s my purpose. I believe every person has the capacity to heal from past trauma. With consistent practice of healthy coping skills, we can learn to understand, manage, and regulate our emotions in ways that support growth and well‑being. My role is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your experiences, strengthen your resilience, and come to trust in your own ability to heal.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to complete the essential program paperwork and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. This includes getting to know you, creating a space where you feel safe and comfortable, and acknowledging the feelings and experiences you bring with you. The goal is to establish trust and lay the groundwork for the work we’ll do together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist include being a compassionate, attentive listener who brings a down‑to‑earth and nonjudgmental presence to the work. I strive to understand you deeply and to honor your experiences with care. I take a holistic and spiritual approach to healing, recognizing the connection between mind, body, and spirit as we move toward growth and emotional well‑being together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I welcome clients who are prepared to engage in the therapeutic process and committed to creating meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a therapist who uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I teach my clients how to identify the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we work to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with healthier, more balanced perspectives that support positive and lasting change.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

As a therapist who uses Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), I work collaboratively with my clients to define their desired future, identify their existing strengths, and recognize exceptions to the problem. Together, we develop practical, small, and achievable steps that support progress toward their goals.

Eclectic

As a therapist who uses Eclectic Therapy, I draw from multiple therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. By combining techniques and insights from various schools of psychotherapy, I am able to create a personalized and flexible treatment plan that best supports each individual’s healing and growth.

EMDR

As a therapist trained in EMDR, I help clients identify traumatic targets, understand the EMDR process, and develop effective coping skills. Using guided imagery and bilateral stimulation, I support clients in reprocessing distressing memories and installing healthier, positive beliefs about themselves.

I was hoping to find a therapist that was authentic and could somewhat relate with the emotional struggles I have had in the past. I believe that she checks all boxes. Looking forward to next session.
