My name is Meca, and I am a State of Ohio CSWMFT Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervision Designation. I have been serving in the field of social work for more than 17 years, and I truly believe this work is part of my calling. Supporting, empowering, and walking alongside others on their healing journey is not just my profession—it is something I feel deeply passionate and honored to do. I believe that every person has the ability and strength to heal from past trauma. While the journey may not always be easy, healing is possible. Through developing and practicing healthy coping skills, we can begin to better understand our emotions, learn how to manage them, and create space for growth, balance, and emotional well-being. My role is to provide a safe, compassionate, and supportive space where you feel comfortable being your authentic self. Together, we can explore your experiences, build resilience, and help you reconnect with the inner strength that already exists within you. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone—I am here to support you every step of the way.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will take time to complete the necessary program paperwork and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. This session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another while creating a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, acknowledge the feelings and challenges you may be facing, and begin exploring the goals you hope to achieve. My priority is to ensure that you feel heard, respected, and supported as we start this journey together. The goal of our first meeting is to begin establishing trust and to lay the foundation for the work we will do together throughout your healing process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I bring a compassionate, attentive, and down-to-earth presence to our work together, and I strive to listen deeply without judgment. My goal is to understand your experiences and honor your story with care, empathy, and respect. I also approach healing from a holistic and spiritual perspective, recognizing the important connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Together, we will work toward greater self-understanding, emotional balance, and personal growth in a way that feels meaningful and supportive for you. You don’t have to walk your healing journey alone—I am here to support and walk alongside you every step of the way.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals navigating the effects of complex trauma, anxiety, and depression who are ready to begin their healing journey. They may feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, struggle with emotional overwhelm, or carry pain from past experiences. While the work can be challenging, they are motivated to grow, develop healthier coping strategies, and build a life rooted in self-awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a therapist who uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I teach my clients how to identify the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we work to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with healthier, more balanced perspectives that support positive and lasting change.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

As a therapist who uses Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), I work collaboratively with my clients to define their desired future, identify their existing strengths, and recognize exceptions to the problem. Together, we develop practical, small, and achievable steps that support progress toward their goals.

Eclectic

As a therapist who uses Eclectic Therapy, I draw from multiple therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. By combining techniques and insights from various schools of psychotherapy, I am able to create a personalized and flexible treatment plan that best supports each individual’s healing and growth.

Trauma Informed Care

As a therapist who uses Trauma-informed care, I recognizes how trauma can affect a person’s thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and sense of safety. Instead of asking “What’s wrong with you?”, trauma-informed care asks “What happened to you?” and responds with compassion, understanding, and respect for the individual’s experiences. , trauma-informed care means creating an environment where clients feel physically, emotionally, and psychologically safe while working toward healing.

I was hoping to find a therapist that was authentic and could somewhat relate with the emotional struggles I have had in the past. I believe that she checks all boxes. Looking forward to next session.
