Sometimes what we need most is a place where we can finally feel genuinely heard. I believe therapy is about more than only managing symptoms. It’s also about understanding yourself and making sense of the experiences and patterns that shape how you think, feel, and respond to the world around you. I aim to create a warm, collaborative environment where you feel safe talking openly and feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we’ll slow down and make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. We’ll work on recognizing patterns, considering new perspectives, and developing a better understanding of yourself without becoming defined by what you’re going through. From there, we’ll work toward meaningful change that feels authentic to you.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about what you’ve been experiencing, what you’d like to be different, and what you hope to get from therapy. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin, and you don't have to know exactly what you want to work on. We'll start where you are and work together to find a direction that feels right for you. My goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and comfortable with the process.
I bring a calm, compassionate presence to therapy and meet each person where they're at. I listen closely and tend to ask thoughtful questions that help you slow down and process what you’re experiencing. I point out patterns or connections that may be easy to miss while giving you space to form your own interpretations. I also recognize that sometimes the most helpful thing I can do is simply give you space to process. When helpful, I’ll offer coping strategies, practical suggestions, or tools you can use between sessions. I balance validation and understanding with gentle challenge when it can help you see something from a different perspective. I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel overly formal, and I value being genuine, bringing some lightness and humor when appropriate, and creating a relationship where you can be yourself.
I enjoy working with people who are ready to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and understand how their past impacts their present. My clients often feel stuck or overwhelmed as they process difficult feelings and experiences. They’re looking for support, guidance, and a safe space to gain new insights and move forward in a way that feels authentic to them.

I use CBT to help clients recognize connections between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and underlying beliefs. Together, we explore patterns such as all-or-nothing thinking, perfectionism, self-criticism, and unhelpful assumptions, then work toward perspectives and behaviors that are more balanced and sustainable. I often use questions and collaborative exploration rather than simply telling you what to think differently.
Humanistic therapy guides my practice in that I see therapy as a relationship, not simply a set of techniques. I believe you are the expert in your own experience, and I work to create a space where you can feel genuinely heard, accepted, and understood. Through curiosity, reflection, and thoughtful conversation, I help you explore what matters to you and discover your own path toward change.
I use EMDR to help clients process distressing experiences that continue to affect how they feel, think, or respond in the present. EMDR can be helpful when past experiences feel unresolved or when you understand something intellectually but still find yourself reacting as though the experience is happening now. I approach this work collaboratively and at a pace that feels manageable, taking time to establish safety and readiness before beginning trauma processing.
I use motivational interviewing when clients feel stuck, uncertain, or conflicted about making a change. Rather than telling you what you should do, we'll explore what matters to you, why change is important, and what may be getting in the way. Together, we can identify realistic steps that fit your life and build motivation from your own values.

I've tried plenty of therapists in my life and I can confidently say I never knew what I was missing until I had a good therapist like Allie. She listens unlike any other therapist i've had. Every other one has done nothing but try to find solutions to problems that dont need solutions and ignore the problems that mattered but Allie really listens and really cares about everything I have to say and I strongly believe I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for her. She's the best y'all.

She was amazing, the way she listened and validated what I was feeling. I think this is going to be a very positive experience for me.

She was very direct, clear and easy to understand a new process for me. I was really uncomfortable going into the appointment not knowing what to expect, but knowing in my heart that it was what I needed.
