My name is Kendra Archer and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) seeing clients statewide in California. I use eclectic therapeutic approaches such as multicultural, psychodynamic, and behavioral approaches to assist my clients in identifying and developing the tools to meet their goals. My communication style is open, calm, personable, and encouraging. I am a patient listener and I try to create a safe environment where people can feel heard without judgment.

What you can expect during your first session is for us to spend time talking about how you have been feeling and me asking questions to get to know you better. The first session is usually about me listening to get to know you and your concerns and build a connection to begin working with you.

Reaching out for support can be a daunting process. As a therapist, I aim to foster a safe therapeutic alliance that can facilitate exploration, healing, and empowerment. I believe in every individual's ability to discover what works best for their own healing. My priority is to support you in your journey towards healing and thriving.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As your therapist, I would guide you through a structured process to help you understand and improve the way you think and behave. I'll help you track negative or unhelpful thoughts that arise in specific situations. Together we will explore ways to change behaviors that reinforce negative thoughts. This may involve setting small, achievable goals to gradually engage in activities that can improve your mood and well-being.

Relational

I utilize theoretical approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Relational therapy to help my clients improve their mental health. I believe in working with clients to find strategies that work best for them and I encourage feedback throughout the process.
