I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S) with over 15 years of experience in mental health. My career spans various roles, including program therapist for inpatient and outpatient treatment programs, manager of a geriatric behavioral health unit in a rural community, and as department director in a critical care mental health hospital. Throughout my years in the field, I noticed that many individuals struggling with mental health challenges lacked essential skills—whether in communication, emotional regulation, or behavioral management. This realization led me to establish my private practice, where I focus on equipping individuals with evidence-based skills to enhance their mental well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll briefly discuss your goals for therapy, and I’ll ask some basic background questions to better understand your needs. I'll also inquire about your preferred learning style to tailor our work together. I'll share my therapeutic approach, including the traits my other clients like most about me, providing you with an overview of how I work. We’ll discuss the schedule, timeline, and expectations moving forward. You’ll likely receive homework assignments to help you start applying what we discuss in therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, I bring a deep understanding of diverse challenges and the resilience of the human spirit. I recognize that each client’s journey is unique, and I tailor my therapeutic approach to provide personalized, skill-based support that fosters growth and independence. My strengths lie in active listening, insightful feedback, and empowering clients with tools to navigate life confidently.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve clients who are ready to engage in a collaborative, goal-oriented therapy process. This includes individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, self-esteem issues, relationship struggles, or difficulty managing stress. My approach is ideal for those who are motivated to make lasting changes in their lives and are open to applying the skills and insights we work on during our sessions. Clients who thrive in my care are those who are looking for a supportive and empowering environment where they can express themselves without judgment, explore their challenges, and gain practical tools to manage life’s complexities.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I blend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Christian-based principles as the foundation of my therapeutic approach. CBT is a well-established, evidence-based method that helps uncover and address the root causes of our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. When used thoughtfully, it becomes a powerful tool for self-reflection, enabling clients to make intentional choices and cultivate healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges—all while remaining grounded in their values and beliefs.
