Hi, I'm a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience in the field, since 2011. I hold a Master's in Social Work from New York University and Bachelor's in Psycholofy from UCLA. I specialize in working with adults facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, life transitions, family dynamics, and relationships challenges. As a therapist, I provide a strengths-based, calming, caring, supportive atmosphere that allows clients to feel seen, heard and validated in an authentic relationship.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, clients should expect to provide background information, discuss therapy goals, and get to know me more as well. It's a time to explore concerns, set expectations of therapy, and feel comfortable with the therapuetic relationship.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, I am patient, nonjudgemental, adaptable, an active listener, and empathy for the clients I work with. This allows clients to feel their unique needs are a priority. My ehtical awareness, problem-solving skills, and self awareness also proivdes effective and professional care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I look foward to working with adults going through a difficult life situation. Everyone's reaction to life's struggles is unique and deserves compassion and validation. General reactions can include sadness, depression, anxiety, trouble sleeping, feelings of hopelessness, poor concentration, memory impairment, feeling detached from others, and/or thoughts of death. Seeking help can be challenging.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With over 10 years of experience using the CBT modality, I also recently expanded my training to include CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia). As an evidence-based approach, CBT helps individuals recognize and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. Since I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and PTSD, CBT is my preferred treatment method. It teaches long-term coping strategies, focuses on present issues, and empowers clients by trageting thoughts that promote healthy living and life style changes.

EMDR

With over 6 years of experience utlizing EMDR therapy, I have found EMDR extremely helpful as an evidenced based, structured therapy that helps individuals process and heal from trauma, PTSD, and other distressing experiences that may lead to depression and/or anxiety symptoms. I have found EDMR extremely effective and often produces faster and deeper healing than traditional talk therapy. Many clients experience significant improvment in fewer sessions as EMDR targets the underlying memories and beliefs that contribute to distress leading to deeper healing.
