LMHC, 6 years of experience
My goal as a therapist is to help guide you toward authenticity while re-establishing interpersonal connections with those around you. Whether you’re looking to gain skills, problem-solving for everyday stress, or are experiencing major life events, we can explore and work toward your personal goals collaboratively. I have worked within multiple levels of care to address disordered eating patterns and ways to navigate toward a more intuitive relationship with food and body image. I have a long standing history of work with the military population and addressing Post Traumatic Stress and Suicidality while working to address barriers that persist to impact the course of your daily life.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Genuine empathy and trust are crucial for a positive relationship between a therapist and client. I offer a non-judgmental safe environment. My approach is integrating a mix of cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and dialectical behavior therapy techniques. I focus on client centered strength-based perspectives and utilized motivational interviewing to assess readiness toward change.
I specialize in navigating patterns of disordered eating having worked in multiple levels of partial hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient (OP) with individuals struggling to find food freedom and body autonomy. I also have a background in acute crisis intervention and suicide specific therapy. My strength is helping individuals rebuild their capacity to manage their emotions and regain the ability to feel comfortable in their life again.
I love working with young professionals who are in the first few years of their careers, those who are stuck in a poor relationship with food/ body image, those who experiencing relationship conflict with their partners or those who facing some new unexpected changes in their lives that create a sensation of discomfort. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make their goals a reality yet. They may often feel stuck, overwhelmed or anxious about the current way they are living and are actively seeking out change. Most common issues seen (Disordered Eating, Body Image , Relationship Distress, Anxiety/Depression, Sexuality/Exploration within LBTQAI+)

She is very warm, welcoming, and not overly soft at the same time. She’s authentic and at the end of the day just wants you to get better. While also having the knowledge and ability to back up whatever she’s suggesting to you. I find her very effective for me and I always enjoy coming to my sessions.
