Hi ! I am Laura Armide, and I love to help others become their best self. As a psychotherapist with 9+ years of experience, I’ve learned that each and every client has unique needs within their sessions. Growing up, I lived in an unsafe area. I have witnessed and experienced things that no adult or child should ever have to endure. My upbringing and environment robbed me of the simple pleasures of safety, peace, healthy love, high self esteem, and more. People pleasing, unhealthy boundaries, and “can’t say no syndrome” were just a few of the challenges that I faced. My desire for my private practice is to help others break unhealed generational patterns, so they can live as their best and highest self. After doing my healing work on my soul integration journey, I’ve realized that I am here to share my light, my gifts, and to help others become their highest and best selves. Healing starts with you taking the first step. I am ready to assist you if you’re ready to begin your journey.
In your first session with me, you can expect a warm and friendly atmosphere as we discuss your concerns, symptoms, duration of these symptoms, and for us to complete the initial assessment. Additionally, we will discuss if you have out of network benefits with your insurance, so that I can assist you with receiving reimbursement from your insurance provider by filing claims through Mentaya. Mentaya is a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.
My greatest strengths are that I am compassionate, welcoming, and passionate about helping my clients progress towards their goals. I focus on helping individuals heal, integrate, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening empathically to your concerns, and by creating personal and unique treatment goals with each individual that chooses to work with me. It is a personal goal of mine to help others break unhealed generational traumas, so they can live as their best and highest self always. Some of my favorite interventions to use during my sessions are: Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Energy Psychology, and Polyvagal Therapy. As a holistic psychotherapist who has been extensively trained in treating chronic and complex trauma, my entire Master's program was focused on Trauma-Informed treatment. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and also a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider.
