I have worked in private practice and the school systems providing Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) for almost 25 years. During this time I founded a small business where my team and I provide these mental health services individually and in groups on-site to school districts all over Sonoma County, CA. I love working with children k-12 and their families. I have worked in non-public schools, public schools, and privately with at-risk youth and their families. This has been my passion my whole career. I have been married to my lovely wife for 18 years, together for 24 years and we have two beautiful children. Our son is 13 and our daughter is 10. I enjoy all things outdoors. I surfed competitively in my youth and I love mountain biking, snowboarding and anything that has to do with water, but my main love is spending time with my family.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will spend time exploring the topics/issues you are being challenged with and we will begin building trust and rapport. Together we will explore the goals that you are seeking and you can expect to walk away from the first session with a clear idea of expectations, ways to achieve these goals and feel heard and understood.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are my ability to build rapport and trust quickly. If rapport and trust are not built there is no relationship so I focus on this at the beginning of our relationship so we can move forward towards goals and build a long-lasting relationship. Individual work is a system whether I'm working with a child or their parents. Family is a system that has to work together to achieve an individual's progress. One of my strengths is supporting, educating, and helping the whole system heal and make progress toward goals.
