Taking the first step toward therapy can be daunting, but you don’t have to figure it out alone. I believe in helping clients identify the areas of their lives that may be holding them back while building the resilience needed to face modern challenges. With 18 years of experience in the field, I offer a seasoned perspective rooted in a wide array of environments. My clinical background includes: Direct Action: Group work with homeless youth and international anti-trafficking initiatives. Specialized Support: Early childhood consultation (ages 0-5) and trauma-informed care. Evidence-Based Modalities: CBT, Psychodynamic, Narrative, Somatic, and Motivational Interviewing. I am a Dominican University alumna and a first-generation Latina from Chicago. My approach is holistic and creative, often incorporating mindfulness and my background as a Reiki practitioner. Whether we are working through deep-seated trauma or current life transitions, my goal is to provide a safe, empowering space for your growth.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, so I keep our first meeting structured yet relaxed. We will begin by reviewing intake documents and sharing brief introductions to get comfortable with one another. I’ll invite you to share what prompted you to seek therapy at this time, allowing us to identify the specific challenges you’re facing. From there, we will discuss your goals, what you can expect from our therapeutic relationship, and the logistics of how we will move forward together. My priority is to ensure you leave the first session with a clear understanding of our path toward your healing.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe therapy works best when it's grounded in mutual respect and a little bit of humanity. I’m a down-to-earth therapist who is serious about your mental health, but I keep our sessions relatable and real. I specialize in helping adults navigate grief, depression, trauma and the unique challenges of ACEIP (Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents).
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
If you are feeling overwhelmed by loss or finding it difficult to manage the "stuck" feeling that often accompanies grief and depression, you are not alone. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for adults who are ready to work through their pain and regain a sense of control. I have a particular interest for adult children of emotionally immature parents. If you grew up feeling like the "parent" or struggle with the trauma of an emotionally inconsistent upbringing, we will work together to heal those wounds. My goal is to equip you with tangible tools and coping skills so that when life feels heavy, you feel prepared to handle it with resilience and self-compassion.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a method where we recognize unhelpful thinking patterns and learn to reevaluate them in a different light. We will learn to recognize, identify them and find healthier ways to view a situation. Changing faulty thinking patterns can further develop our coping skills, as well as, lead to changes in behavior and improved mood.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness can be a great tool to help one learn to get in touch with their bodies and regulate emotions. Emotional regulation can lead to not only a calmer state, but also build your emotional intelligence. Mindful practices can involve breathing exercises, guided imagery or any calming practice that teaches us to slow down and be "more present."
Trauma Informed Care
As a trauma informed therapist, I am aware of how trauma can play a role in our daily living. Trauma can manifest in a variety of ways in our bodies and can sometimes lead to a destructive path. I will work with you to create a safe space where we can address any traumatic event, while also avoiding retraumatizing.
Grief Therapy
As long as we are living, loss will occur. We live in a grief illiterate world and as your therapist I will work with you in helping you process your grief. No one grieves the same and there is no timeline for it, but we can work together to express it and move through it, rather than away from it. There is life after loss.

I been taking therapy with grace for a couple of months. I feel listened too, validated and has been a positive experience. It has helped my mental health to be able to speak to someone who actively listens to you. She’s created goals and steps that can helped me better my self as a woman, mom, partner. She’s definitely been a good fit for me. I think it’s important to have a good connection with your therapist. I appreciate the feedback back as well. It’s important to have a genuine connection.
