Hi, I'm Jenny. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California, LCSW #25578. As a psychotherapist and counselor in private practice, I help individuals struggling with a variety of life’s problems. Perhaps you're experiencing relationship struggles, destabilizing life transitions, a parenting challenge or you're just tired of feeling the "lack" of life. Welcome, you are in the right place. I work with people from all walks of life who are seeking freedom and peace. I love supporting people as they create a more enjoyable life for themselves and would feel honored to be a part of your healing journey. I know that perhaps you’ve been trying to figure this out for a long time. It has become more unbearable and you are considering therapy. I am here to tell you that it can get better! Gratefully, I have witnessed relief and deep emotion as one begins to see and experience life differently. It does not have to take months of therapy but can actually happen rather quickly. With that said, I am guided by the time that you want and need and I would be honored to walk alongside you on this journey toward healing and hope.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first sessions, following brief introductions, we will discuss what has brought you to therapy. I offer a nonjudgmental, open space to hear your concerns. In time and through further exploration, we will tailor a supportive plan to move you towards what you want for yourself. Change often begins in the way we relate—to ourselves and others. Working with a therapist who is a steady, grounded match, gives you a chance to experience a new kind of connection— it opens the door to new ways of being. We often learn how to relate to others by first experiencing healthy relationships ourselves. When our history lacks strong relational models, the therapeutic connection can be a powerful space for growth. Sharing your intimate feelings, thoughts and experiences with another can be incredibly healing. Sometimes, simply naming your experience out loud lets you see it from a new angle…your story can gently shift the way it lives inside you, offering a new perspective—and often, a greater sense of peace. What moves me most about this work is witnessing people engage with the quiet courage it takes to step into the unknown—to risk new ways of being, to uncover hidden strength. It’s a kind of unfolding, a soft emergence into a life once unimaginable, now beginning to take shape in real and beautiful ways.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With over 17 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I’m passionate about supporting people through all kinds of challenges—whether it’s addiction, trauma, disordered eating, or tough relationship struggles. I also work with those who might not have a big crisis but feel like something’s missing or that life could be more meaningful. I’m drawn to helping people find their way back to connection and freedom. I blend approaches like DBT, CBT, ACT, and Internal Family Systems into trauma-informed, strengths-based care that feels safe and supportive. I also bring a family systems perspective, involving parents and caregivers when it can help the healing process. People often tell me they appreciate my warmth, genuine care, and the way I really listen and show up for them. For me, it’s a privilege to walk alongside people as they make meaningful changes in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My professional and personal path is rooted in advocacy and empowerment. Throughout and following my academic training, I’ve focused on supporting children, individuals, and families across the lifespan and in whatever capacity I can. My education, clinical development, and personal practice have deepened my ability to meet people where they are—with the hope that the tools, insights, and healing I’ve experienced can help enrich their own journey. My areas of specialty include: Anxiety Body Image and disordered eating Addiction Relationship Issues Parenting Depression Other life problems I offer care that is both non-pathologizing and relatable. What this means is that I see problem behaviors, intrusive thoughts, and strong emotions as protective parts of you— they each developed to help you cope, survive, or feel safe. Our work isn’t about “fixing” but about connecting with these parts of ourselves with curiosity and compassion. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that arise and the roles they play in your life—as an individual, parent, partner, child, friend, or co-worker. This process fosters greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and opens the path to healing and choice. I use an integrative approach and draw from my professional and life experiences as well as my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) Somatic healing and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I create a warm, judgment-free space where you can dive into sometimes tough but truly life-changing work. I very much look forward to talking to you about what your needs are.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an integral part of how I support clients in creating meaningful change. By helping individuals relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions—rather than trying to eliminate them—ACT encourages mindful awareness and values-based action, fostering greater psychological flexibility and resilience.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

In my practice, I incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients connect with and understand the different parts of themselves. This approach supports healing by fostering self-compassion, reducing inner conflict, and accessing the core Self as a source of guidance and balance.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) informs much of my work in helping clients recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. By focusing on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and actions, CBT supports the development of healthier thinking, emotional regulation, and more effective coping skills—helping clients feel more in control, reduce distress, and navigate challenges with greater confidence.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a central part of my therapeutic approach. Intensively trained in DBT, I deeply value and live by its core principles—especially the balance of acceptance and change. In my work, I help clients build skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. These tools are powerful as they help to navigate intense emotions, improve relationships, and create a more stable and meaningful life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy is foundational to my work. With strong training and a personal mindfulness practice, I help clients cultivate present-moment awareness and self-compassion, supporting emotional balance and lasting growth. Whether integrated into other modalities or practiced on its own, mindfulness fosters the inner stability needed for meaningful and lasting change.
