Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety and self-doubt? Life’s challenges can hinder progress, but you don’t have to face them alone. I provide evidence-based therapy that connects the mind, body, and spirit, creating a tailored approach to help you overcome obstacles and achieve meaningful change. With experience in diverse behavioral health settings and a deep understanding of various ethnic and cultural experiences, I offer a unique and inclusive perspective. My psychodynamic approach engages you in meaningful dialogue, using shared insights.
During our first session, I will gather some basic information about you and what matters most to you. We'll explore what has brought you to this point in your life and discuss your goals. I will also explain different treatment modalities, outline what to expect from treatment, and answer any questions you may have. It is essential for both the client and the therapist to feel comfortable during this initial meeting and to determine if a therapeutic relationship can be established. It's important that we connect on an energetic level.
The key to effective therapy lies in building a strong, trusting relationship. I am committed to providing you with a safe and inviting environment where you can freely explore your thoughts and emotions. If you’re ready to embrace healing and transformation.
In our work together, we will actively explore your behavioral patterns and emotional experiences while fully honoring your diverse ethnic and cultural influences. We will analyze the emotions that impact your relationships and overall well-being. This process will address key issues such as anxiety, mood disorders, life transitions, divorce, grief and bereavement, addiction challenges, chronic mental health concerns, and the complexities of caring for elderly or special needs children. Together, we will tackle social and occupational difficulties and pursue your personal growth with determination.
Culturally sensitive practice involves recognizing that your background, family values, practices, and beliefs should not be labeled as abnormal. Instead, they should be understood and examined within their own context and interpersonal ethics. As your therapist, I acknowledge the importance of these characteristics and how they have influenced your life.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected and influence each other. This structured and goal-oriented form of talk therapy helps individuals identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. Together, we will work to identify your challenges, thinking styles, and behavior patterns as we strive toward achieving your desired outcomes.
Families operate as interconnected systems, meaning that the actions of one member can affect the others. As your therapist, I will assess the roles of each family member by looking at the established hierarchy and boundaries, and how these aspects influence one another. I will use techniques such as enactment, reframing, joining, and realigning boundaries to support this process. If you are facing challenges with intergenerational family dynamics, let’s work together to find a solution.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a short-term therapeutic approach that addresses negative emotions and their impact on relationships. EFT techniques include two primary processes: De-escalation: This involves helping clients identify and reduce negative interaction patterns. Restructuring emotional experiences: This process assists clients in recognizing the root causes of their negative emotions and developing healthier ways to interact. EFT ultimately aims to improve emotional connection and communication between individuals.
