Hi! I’m Katie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Minnesota. I help adults navigate life’s challenges - whether that’s stress, burnout, relationship struggles, parenting, or feeling stuck.

With over 19 years of experience in mental health, I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can slow down, reconnect with what matters, and begin to heal.

With over 19 years of experience in mental health, I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can slow down, reconnect with what matters, and begin to heal. You don’t have to have it all figured out to take the first step.

First session

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Strengths

I believe healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and supported. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and rooted in helping you reconnect with who you are and what matters most to you. My clients describe me as warm, honest, and down-to-earth. I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and mindfulness-based strategies, always tailoring our work to your unique needs. For clients who desire it, I’m happy to incorporate faith and spirituality into our sessions. Whether you’re facing anxiety, burnout, parenting stress, or just feeling stuck - I’m here to help you find clarity, courage, and next steps.

Ideal clients

My ideal therapy client may be navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, or the strain of balancing work and life. They are often thoughtful and driven people such as creatives and caregivers who give a lot to others but feel stretched thin themselves. They are ready to slow down, reflect, and understand what is underneath the overwhelm. They value honesty, even when it feels uncomfortable, and want support that goes beyond quick fixes toward meaningful, lasting change.

Treatment methods

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Experience in Birth-5 treatment, identifying how to identify stressors and traumas and how to communicate with children about the past, present and future.

Faith based therapy

I enjoy incorporating faith into sessions when clients invite me to.

Attachment-based

Extensive experience (20+ years) working with children with mental health challenges. Understanding attachment helps me work with clients of all ages.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I enjoy looking for solutions to challenges my clients are facing. When appropriate, Solution Focused Brief Treatment can be a powerful tool to make changes quickly.

Strength-Based

I look for the strengths of everyone I come in contact with. I believe we all uniquely created and equally important.
