About me

Deanette James provides medication management to adults, 18 and over. Her office is a safe space for all individuals currently navigating a chaotic life and needing additional support. She is very much aware that the decision to take medications for stabilization of one’s mental health can be very daunting. While medications may be suggested based on your history, it is purely your decision to start and/or continue these medications. Rest assured that during the initiation, continuation, or discontinuation phases she makes herself available to answer questions and guide you through the process with follow-up appointments or via secure messaging, outside of appointment times, and all concerns are discussed. Unless lifelong medication management is needed, you may choose to pause medications if you are feeling better, and we can reassess later to see if you need to continue taking them. It can be quite scary to start this journey, but just know you are not alone in this process towards a better mental health and overall wellbeing. PLEASE SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT 2-3 DAYS IN ADVANCE TO FACILITATE COMPLETION OF THE INTAKE PACKAGE AND PREVENT RESCHEDULING. THANK YOU.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session we will do our introductions and then discuss what has been happening with your mental health and when it started. Using this information, we will design a plan tailored specifically to meet your needs, based on your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Anxiety and depression are two extremely debilitating conditions. They may not seem like it, but one or both of these conditions can determine whether or not you have a fulfilling life. One of the greatest gifts I can receive is seeing my patients progress from feeling like they can't go on another day to being happy, smiling, making plans, and even mentoring others to take steps toward treatment. I believe patients should play active roles in their treatment and progress and not just do what I say, but make suggestions and let me know what works best.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with women who are striving in their careers or live in general , but are dealing with mental health illnesses which weigh them down and causes a decrease in daily functions whether socially, at home, or at work.
